Coach’s analysis: We return three starters who all garnered all WBL honors last year, and create a strong nucleus to build around. We also had a few players rejoin our program after not playing last year that should help our depth. The injury to Maggie Verhoff has set our team back as we must now juggle the lineup to make up for her loss. She was a steady contributor last year who was poised to take a big step this year. Early games will be a learning experience as we try to balance the roster and fill the holes of the graduating seniors while also absorbing the loss of Maggie Verhoff. We will need to depend on the experience and skills of our returning starters until others step up. The league looks very tough this year with Bath sitting at the top of the league with a very veteran and talented roster. The next five or so teams will all be very competitive, and with continued growth from programs like Elida and Van Wert. We hope to be as competitve in the league as we have been.
