LIMA — LCC earned a 25-15, 25-16, 20-25, 15-25, 15-13 victory Tuesday night against Kalida to advance to the Division IV sectional finals in volleyball. Lima Central Catholic will play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Fort Recovery.
Lydia Vorst had 17 kills, Brooke Siefker had 12 kills, Maria Gerding had 45 assists and Grace Klausing had 40 digs for Kalida.
Columbus Grove 3,
COLUMBUS GROVE — The Bulldogs won 17-25, 25-11, 25-21, 25-18.
Alayna Ricker had 16 kills, Grace Selhorst had five aces and Lauren Benroth had 42 assists and 23 digs for Grove, which will play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Miller City. Benroth was also recognized at the beginning of the match for reaching 1,000 career assists. She entered Tuesday’s match with 699 on the season and 1,103 for her career.
Crestview 3, Wayne Trace 1
CONVOY — The Knights won 25-27, 25-15, 25-19, 25-21. Cali Gregory had 36 assists and three aces, Laci McCoy had 17 kills, Myia Etzler had 14 kills and Raegan Hammons had 19 digs for Crestview, which will play at 5 p.m. Thursday at St. Henry.
WAYNESFIELD — W-G (6-15) fell 25-12, 25-19, 25-19. Maddie Flinn had seven kills, Zoe Schlegel had six digs and Rylie Barrington had three aces, 10 assists and six digs for W-G. Arlington will play at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at New Knoxville.
PANDORA — The Rockets won 25-12, 25-10, 25-2. Maddy Wellington had nine assists, Alli Garmatter had eight kills and Faith Bowersox had 12 digs for C-R. P-G will play against McComb at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Miller City.
Marion Local 3,
The Flyers won 25-17, 25-15, 25-11. Kinsey Thobe had 10 kills, Heidi Rethman had 31 assists and Lydia Griesdorn had nine digs Marion Local, which will play host to Continental at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Minster 3, Leipsic 2
LEIPSIC — The Wildcats won 23-25, 25-15, 25-20, 15-7. Alyssa Neimeyer had 15 kills, Jayden Clune had 45 assists, Ivy Wolf had four aces, Ella Mescher had five blocks and Ava Sharp had 35 digs for Minster.
Ottawa-Glandorf’s Maddie White (player of the year) and Amber Miller (coach of the year) received top Western Buckeye League honors.
Joining White on the first team were Celina’s Brooklyn Bourne, Defiance’s Kendall Black, Elida’s Kylie Vorhees, O-G’s Erin Kaufman, Shawnee’s Karrington Green and Wapakoneta’s Kaleigh Palmer.
Lima Senior’s Aleah Julien and Cheyanne Bean have been named All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference honorable mention.
Notre Dame Academy’s Brynna Hastings was named player of the year and St. Ursula Academy’s Laura Fender was selected coach of the year.
Lima Senior’s Abby Beck and Grace Beck earned All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference recognition. Toledo Central Catholic’s Lucia Spinazze was named player of the year and Notre Dame Academy’s Kim Pacella was selected coach of the year.
