High school soccer roundup: Kalida girls win sectional in D-III

KALIDA — The host Wildcats moved on to the Division III district semifinals with a 3-0 victory Tuesday night against Fort Jennings.

Brenna Smith had two goals and Livia Recker had a single tally. Kassidy Hipscher made three saves in earning the shutout in goal. Fort Jennings counterpart Reilly Fitzpatrick had 20 saves. The Wildcats will play the winner of Thursday’s Crestview-Lima Central Catholic match at 6 p.m. Oct. 27 at Ottoville.

Evergreen 2, Miller City 0

METAMORA — Evergreen advanced to the district semifinals.

Mansfield Christian 6, Ada 0

MANSFIELD — Christian will play at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bluffton.

RAWSON — Zoe Chisholm had the match’s only goal and Katie Bish made eight saves in earning the shutout in goal. C-R will play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Ashland Crestview.

Crestview 4,

Delphos Jefferson 2

CONVOY — Crestview will play at 5 p.m. Thursday against Lima Central Catholic at Spartan Stadium.

Delphos St. John’s 4,

Spencerville 1

DELPHOS — St. John’s will play at 6 p.m. Thursday at Coldwater.

Columbus Grove 3,

Allen East 1

COLUMBUS GROVE — The Bulldogs will play at 5 p.m. Thursday at Ottoville.

Bath’s Chandler Clark (player of the year) and St. Marys’ Nick Wilson (coach of the year) received top honors.

Joining Clark on the first team were McKenna Hale (Bath), Mia Rolfes (Celina), Nicole Fennig (Celina), Analei Jackson (Elida), Keelee Barrett (Kenton), Kelsey Erford (Ottawa-Glandorf), Lily Cleaves (Shawnee), Lilly Ankerman (St. Marys), Kiley Tennant (St. Marys), Marisa Raney (Wapakoneta) and Elizabeth Gesler (Wapakoneta).

Shawnee’s Zach Chambers (player of the year) and Ryan Quatman (coach of the year) received top Western Buckeye League honors.
