HARRISON — Harrison came from behind to knock off Lima Senior 32-28 in the opening round of the Division II, Region 8 football playoffs Friday at Harrison High School.
Harrison is just north of Cincinnati, in the northwestern part of Hamilton County.
Lima Senior led 14-0 after the first quarter and 21-3 at the half. Harrison pulled ahead 25-21 after three when it outscored the Spartans 22-0 in the third quarter.
The Spartans stand 1-5.
Harrison advances to the second round to meet Piqua at 7 p.m. Friday at Piqua.
Lima Senior’s Kamar Johnson had 13 carries for 70 yards and one TD.
Spartans quarterback E.J. Cameron completed 7 of 17 for 91 yards. He scored on a 1-yard TD run.
The Spartans’ Anthony Mosely and Johnson both had interception returns for TDs in the first half. Mosely’s went for 47 yards, while Johnson’s was for 50 yards.
Lima Senior’s Yarlen Chambers had three catches for 63 yards.
Harrison’s Mason Young completed 18 of 46 for 261 yards. He had TD runs of 6, 20 and 8 yards and threw a 45-yard TD pass.
Harrison had 310 total yards, 49 on the ground.
Lima Senior had 155 total yards, 64 on the ground.
St. Marys 56, Greenville 21
ST. MARYS – St. Marys pounded out 400 yards on the ground to roll past Greenville in the opening round of the playoffs at St. Marys.
St. Marys (5-2) advances to the second round to play the Franklin/Vandalia Butler winner at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Roughriders ran out to a 28-0 first-quarter lead and led 42-0 at the half.
St. Marys had a balanced running game, with Dylan Trogdlon leading the way with three carries for 89 yards. He had two TDs.
Aiden Hinkle had three carries for 55 yards with one TD.
Ross Henschen had four carries for 54 yards.
Ethan Wedding had five carries for 35 yards.
St. Marys quarterback Gavin Reineke completed 8 of 11 for 168 yards. He threw three TDs
St. Marys had 568 total yards, with 400 on the ground.
Greenville had 249 total yards, with 189 on the ground.
Monroe 27, Elida 10
ELIDA – Monroe made the trek north on I-75 and knocked off Elida in the first round of the playoffs at Elida.
Monroe advances to play Hamilton Ross at 7 p.m. Friday at Hamilton.

Dayton Carroll 42, Celina 39
CELINA – Dayton Carroll edged Celina in the first round of the playoffs at Celina.
Dayton Carroll will play Trotwood-Madison at 7 p.m. Friday at Trotwood.
Celina is 3-4.
Celina’s Jaxson Silliman had 19 carries for 139 yards and three TDs.
Celina quarterback Cooper Jones completed 12 of 24 for 150 yards.
Brandon Staugler had seven receptions for 84 yards and one TD.
Carroll’s Fanuel Uwishimwe had 23 carries for 135 yards with one TD.
Carroll’s Ryan Chapman completed 16 of 23 for 199 yards. He threw two TDs.
Celina rushed for 299 yards and passed for 158.
Carroll ran for 202 yards and pass d for 197.
Carroll led 21-20 at the half and 35-32 after three.
Region 10: Defiance 27, Bay Village Bay 10
Crestview 69, North Baltimore 7
CONVOY – Crestview steamrolled North Baltimore to kick off the playoffs at Convoy.
Knights fullback Brody Brecht had only 12 carries, but racked up 265 yards with three TDs. Brecht had TD runs of 65, 9 and 1 yards.
Crestview’s Logan Gerardot added nine carries for 104 yards and three TDs. Gerardot had TD runs of 15, 20 and 12 yards. He also returned a punt 67 yards for a TD.
Crestview had 471 total yards, with 452 coming on the ground.
North Baltimore had 171 total yards.
Crestview (4-2) moves to the second round to meet Tiffin Calvert at 7 p.m. Friday at Tiffin.
The Knights led 22-0 after the first quarter and 46-0 at the half.
Antwerp 20 Waynesfield-Goshen 17
WAYNESFIELD – Antwerp edged Waynesfield-Goshen in the first round of the playoffs at Waynesfield.
Antwerp moves to the second round to meet Leipsic at 7 p.m. Friday at Leipsic.
McComb 41, Upper Scioto Valley 0
MCCOMB – McComb rolled past the USV Rams in the opening round of the playoffs at McComb.
McComb advances to play Spencerville at 7 p.m. Friday at Spencerville.
The Rams are 3-4.
McComb led 14-0 at the half and 35-0 after three.
USV’s Jackson Rohrs was held to 11 carries for 22 yards.
The Rams’ Kadyn Hurley completed 5 of 17 for 45 yards.
Troy Christian 42, Ridgemont 6
TROY – Troy Christian knocked off Ridgemont in the opening round of the playoffs at Troy.
Troy Christian advances to meet Fort Loramie at 7 p.m. Friday at Fort Loramie.
Leipsic 35, Spencerville 28
LEIPSIC – Leipsic knocked off Spencerville in a regular-season game regular-season game at Leipsic.
Both teams will play in the playoffs next Friday.
Leipsic will host Antwerp at 7 p.m. at Leipsic.
Spencerville will play McComb at 7 p.m. Friday at Spencerville.
Leipsic’s Lorenzo Walther had 19 carries for 153 yards and four total TDs. He also had 62 yards receiving.
Dillan Niese carried 17 times for 110 yards. Niese completed 9 of 17 for 171 yards.
Spencerville’s Gunner Grigsby had 24 carries for 110 yards and two TDs.
The Bearcats’ Dale Smith had 11 carries for 105 yards and one TD. D.J. Bowens had four carries for 61 yards.
Pandora-Gilboa 42, Minster 0
PANDORA – Pandora-Gilboa breezed past Minster in a regular-season game at Pandora.
Both Minster and P-G will play in the second round next week.
Minster will play Allen East at 7 p.m. Friday at Allen East.
Sycamore Mohawk will play P-G at 7 p.m. Friday at P-G.
