ADA — Ohio Northern senior running back Christiaan Williams, a Anna graduate, was named Second Team Preseason All-America for 2020 by D3football.com.
Williams is ONU’s all-time leading rusher with 4,193 rushing yards in his 29-game career.
He was named a 2nd Team All-American by the Associated Press and the American Football Coaches Association as a sophomore in 2017, was an Honorable Mention All-American by D3football.com in 2019 and is a 3-time 1st Team All-OAC honoree.
He became the first ONU freshman to rush for 1,000 yards, gaining 1,208 in nine games in 2016.
Williams also holds school records with 25 100-yard rushing games in his career and with 10 consecutive 100-yard rushing games to start his career.
The Polar Bears are scheduled to open their 2020-21 season on March 12 with a home game against Otterbein at Dial-Roberson Stadium.
