LIMA — Sophia Luchini and Isabella John each had a goal as Lima Central Catholic opened its girls soccer season with a 2-1 victory Saturday against Ottoville.

Kitt Siatkosky and Anna Wannemacher combined for 13 saves in goal for the Thunderbirds.

RAWSON — Zoe Chisholm and Lanie Kempf each had three goals and Brynn Reese, Libby McVetta, Paige McVetta, Katie Bish, Evelyn Waltz and Mackenzie Schimmoeller had one tally each. McVetta and Jocelyn Peterson each had a pair of assists.

Bluffton 5, Pettisville 1

BLUFFTON — Jonathon Schriner, Nolan Hoffman, Kaden Basil and Justin Good were those who had goals for the Pirates.

Wapakoneta 9,

Lima Central Catholic 0

WAPAKONETA — Kaleb Place had three goals, Dylan Whitehead scored twice and Graham Knerr, Connor Lause, Aidan Schneider and Gavin Ainsworth had one tally each. Knerr and Kyle Beach had two assists each. Christian Mowery got the shutout in goal.

Blue Devil Classic

BEDFORD — Lima Central Catholic won the championship with a 296 total, 10 shots better than runner up Green, in the 16-team tournament at par 71 Shawnee Hills Golf Course.

LCC’s Mary Kelly Mulcahy was medalist with a 68, one shot lower than second place Cara Heisterkamp from Magnificat. Erin Mulcahy tied for fourth with a 72 and Emma Mayers and Bridget Mulcahy each shot 78 to tie for 11th also for the Thunderbirds.

Volleyball

Minster 3, Graham 1

MINSTER — The Wildcats won 25-16, 16-25, 25-21, 25-16. Dana Prenger had 14 kills, Jayden Clune had 10 assists and Ivy Freeman had eight digs for Minster.

Ottawa-Glandorf 3,

Coldwater 0

COLDWATER — The Titans won 25-20, 25-14, 25-20. Erin Kaufman had nine kills, Saleigha Ellerbrock had 21 assists and Lexi Fortman had 12 digs for O-G. The Cavaliers’ individual stats were not reported by deadline.

Ada 3, Cory-Rawson 0

RAWSON — The Bulldogs won 25-14, 25-13, 25-14. Kirsten Poling 14 assists, Megan Light had seven kills, Miranda Wills had nine aces and seven kills and Courtney Sumner had 14 digs for Ada. Maddy Wellington had 14 assists and Alli Garmatter had eight kills and 10 digs for C-R.

Continental 3,

North Baltimore 1

NORTH BALTIMORE — The Pirates won 25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 25-15. Madelyn Potts had 26 digs and 21 kills, Catelyn Etter had 25 assists and Annika Bowers had three aces for Continental.

Ben Logan 3, LCC 1

LIMA — The Thunderbirds fell 18-25, 25-23, 25-13, 25-23. Kennedy Parker had five kills, Zoey Foster had 20 assists, Jacqueline Cutlip had 15 digs, Grace Hutjens had three aces and Kennedy Parker had seven solo blocks for LCC.

Spencerville 3,

Ridgemont 1

MT. VICTORY — The Bearcats won 25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-16. No individual stats were reported by deadline.

Cougar Classic

VAN WERT — Van Wert won the team title followed by Elida, St. Marys and Lehman Catholic. Individually, Charley Spencer (first singles) was third, Grace Dodson (second singles) was second, Brooke Fricke (third singles) was fourth, Jodi Perry and Maddie White (first doubles) were second, including a 9-8 (9-7) loss in the championship match, and Sammy Taylor and Syd Boedicker (second doubles) were third for the Roughriders. No other information was reported about this event by deadline.
