LIMA — Quincey Simpson passed Jim Romey for the most boys varsity basketball coaching wins in Lima Senior history Tuesday night in the Spartans’ 68-62 Three Rivers Athletic Conference triumph against Toledo Central Catholic.
Josiah Fulcher had 19 points and Da’san Clair scored 12 for Lima Senior (18-3, 13-0 TRAC) in giving Simpson his 120th career varsity victory at the school. Central Catholic fell to 14-7 overall and 9-4 in the conference.

Shawnee and Columbus Grove, each 21-0, finished No. 1 Divisions II and IV respectively in the final Associated Press state poll of sports writers and broadcasters.
The Indians received seven out of a possible 14 first-place votes and the Bulldogs 11 out of a possible 14.
