Roundup: Miller City’s Koenig reaches 1,000 career points in girls basketball

VAN BUREN — Miller City’s Natalie Koenig surpassed 1,000 career points in her girls varsity high school basketball career in a 59-52 victory Tuesday night against Van Buren.

Koenig finished with 14 points in the game and teammate Abi Lammers scored 26. Miller City moved to 12-7 on the season while Van Buren fell to 10-9.

LIMA — Nakiya Sigman had 15 points and AJ Bullock scored 11 for the host Spartans.

SPENCERVILLE — Madison Cordonnier had 19 points and Elli Roetgerman scored eight for the visiting Cardinals (12-7). Nelaya Burden had 27 points and Emma Leis scored eight for the Bearcats (11-8).

MONROEVILLE — Quinn Stewart-Evans had 11 points for Hardin Northern (6-14).

ST. MARYS — Kendall Dieringer had 19 points and Carly Caywood scored 15 for the host Roughriders (15-4). North Vaughn had 16 points and Alyssa Buschur scored 14 for the Redskins (12-8).

ELIDA — Addisyn Freeman had 17 points and Katelyn Makin scored nine for the host Bulldogs (10-9). Parkway’s individual scoring was not reported.

LEIPSIC — The host Vikings (11-8) outscored Archers (8-11) 14-8 in the fourth quarter to earn the victory. Liz Scheckelhoff and Whitney Langhals each had 11 points for Leipsic.

Wapakoneta 43, Coldwater 42

COLDWATER — Lauren Gilliland had 12 points and Annelise Harlamert and Riley Rismiller scored 11 each for the host Cavaliers. Wapak’s individual scoring was not reported.

BOTKINS — Jacob Pleiman had 21 points and Zane Paul scored 13 for Botkins (14-4). Terry Riley (15), Chazz Jackson (13) and Will Knight (12) each scored in double digits for the visiting Commodores (12-5).

DELPHOS — Isaac Fairchild had 20 points, including six 3-pointers and Brady Parrish and Brady Grothaus had 16 and 11 points respectively for the Blue Jays (12-5). Jake Hilleary had 10 points and Owen Treece and Colin Place scored seven each for the Cougars (4-13).
