Girls high school basketball: LCC’s Williams reaches 1,000 career points

FORT RECOVERY — Lima Central Catholic’s Rosie Williams reached 1,000 career varsity points in the Thunderbirds’ 38-33 girls high school basketball loss Saturday to the host Indians.

Williams had 13 points on the day and Olivia Stolly also scored 10 for the Thunderbirds (11-9). Val Muhlenkamp had 12 points and Brooke Kahlig scored 11 for Fort Recovery (16-3).

MT. VICTORY — Zoe Chisholm had 15 points and Ayanna Vekaryasz scored eight for C-R (7-13). Jennifer Jordan had 11 points and Callie Cromer scored five for Ridgemont (6-12).

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Hailee Conrad had 16 points and 12 rebounds, Tessa Jordan had 14 points, Trinity Gearing had eight points, seven assists and eight rebounds and Paige Maxwell had eight points for the Indians (6-12). Annelise Harlamert and Riley Rismiller each had 12 points for the Cavaliers (8-10).

CONTINENTAL — Chelsi Giesige (23), Janae Pease (12) and Sadie Estle (10) each scored in double digits for the visiting Panthers (17-3). Alex Hoeffel had 13 points and Catelyn Etter scored 12 for the Pirates (10-9).

KALIDA — Grace Klausing had 16 points, McKayla Maag scored 12, Brenna Smith had eight points, seven rebounds and four steals and Kathryn Siebeneck had four assists and four steals for the Wildcats (11-7, 3-2 Putnam County League), who won the rebound battle 31-21 and committed seven turnovers to P-G’s 24. Lacie Fenstermaker had 16 points and seven rebounds for the Rockets (2-16, 0-5 PCL).

MILLER CITY — Abi Lammers had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Natalie Koenig scored 17 and dished out three assists for the host Wildcats (11-7).

CELINA — Kira Bertke (20), Kaylee Freund (14) and Madison Cordonnier (12) each scored in double digits for the Cardinals (11-7). Taylor Klingshirn had 13 points and Makenna Ashmore scored six for the Bulldogs (4-14).
