Roundup: Shawnee stays unbeaten in boys basketball

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — The host Indians moved to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the Western Buckeye League with a 73-42 boys high school basketball victory Friday night against Defiance (4-2, 1-1 WBL).

George Mangas had 29 points and John Barker scored 28 for Shawnee.

Columbus Grove 86, Paulding 54

PAULDING — Tayt Birnesser (23), Blake Reynolds (18), Evan Hopkins (18) and Gabe Clement (10) each scored in double digits for the Bulldogs. Blake McGarvey had 21 points and Seth Dysinger (15) and Payton Beckman (10) also finished in double digits for Paulding.

Van Wert 68, Wapakoneta 46

WAPAKONETA — Owen Treece had 29 points and Clayton Proffitt (11) and Spencer Adams (10) also reached double digits for the visiting Cougars. Reed Merricle had 17 points and Braeden Goulet scored eight for the Redskins.

Delphos Jefferson 67,

Waynesfield-Goshen 47

WAYNESFIELD — Doug Long Jr. (16), Colin Bailey (13) and Logan Hubert (10) each scored in double digits for Jefferson. Layton Campbell had 21 points and Jayden Elliott scored nine for W-G.

Ada 55, Allen East 42

ADA — Zac Swaney had 16 points and Micah Cook scored 12 for the host Bulldogs (2-4, 1-1 Northwest Conference). Bradden Crumrine led the Mustangs (3-3, 0-2 NWC) with eight points.

MARION — Joshua Engle led Temple Christian with 12 points.

DOLA — Nevin Robson had 19 points for Hardin Northern.

MIDDLE POINT — Creed Jessee had 20 points for the host Lancers. Josh Henline had 16 points and Jackson Goecke scored 11 for the Bearcats.

PANDORA — Walter Macke had 14 points and Ryan Johnson scored 13 for P-G.

DEGRAFF — Brayden Knight had 21 points and Will Knight scored 18 for Perry (6-2, 3-0 Northwest Central Conference).

HAVILAND — Austin Ruhe had 15 points for Miller City.
