Boys basketball roundup: Lima Senior opens season with victory

TOLEDO — Josiah Fulcher had 25 points and Jamir Simpson scored 17 as Lima Senior opened its boys high school basketball season with a 76-54 victory Friday night against Whitmer.

Khalil Luster scored 10 also for the Spartans.

MCGUFFEY — Quinn Sanders had 27 points surpassing 1,000 for his career and Jackson Rohrs (11) and Connor Sanders (10) also reached double figures for USV. Nevin Robson had 21 points for Hardin Northern.

New Knoxville 62

HARROD — Kadin Koontz (16), Cole Fletcher (13), Bradden Crumrine (10) and Logan McCluer (10) each score in double digits for Allen East (2-1). Carson Bierlein had 30 points and Max Henschen (16) and Sammy Anspach (11) also reached double figures for New Knoxville.

OTTAWA — Ben Westrick had 23 points and Brennen Blevins scored 14 for O-G.

OTTOVILLE — Blake Reynolds had 20 points and Gabe Clement scored 10 for CG. Joe Miller and William Miller each scored seven for Ottoville.

St. Marys 66,

St. Henry 32

ST. MARYS — Jadin Davis (21), Ethan Steger (20) and LeTrey Williams (15) each scored in double digits for St. Marys. Riley Link had 10 points for St. Henry.

WAYNESFIELD — Will Knight (16), Brayden Knight (14), Chazz Jackson (14), Ryan Yingst (13) and Jeffrey Simpson (10) all scored in double digits for the visiting Commodores. Layton Campbell (15), Isaiah Sanders (13) and Jayden Elliot (12) were double digit scorers for W-G.

FINDLAY — Carson Houck had 18 points for Cory-Rawson.

DELPHOS JEFFERSON — Ashton Moore had 18 points and Ian Wannemacher scored 12 for Jefferson.

FORT JENNINGS — Zach Schulte had 16 points and Evan Hoersten scored 10 for the host Musketeers.

HICKSVILLE — Mitch Coleman had 11 points and Gavin Huff scored nine for Continental.

KALIDA — Gabe Hovest had 15 points and Zach Vonderembse scored 10 for the host Wildcats. Zac Swaney had 12 points and Brandon Hull scored 11 for the Bulldogs.

CELINA — Nolan Bornhorst had 15 points and Patrick Wells scored nine for the visiting Cardinals. Max Thobe had 13 points and Ethan Wilson scored 10 for the Bulldogs.

DEFIANCE — Payton Beckman had 13 ponts and Boston Pease scored eight for the visiting Panthers.

KENTON — Coldwater’s Ethan Post (17), Noah Miller (16) and Myles Blasingame (14) and Kenton’s Jacob Eversole (20), Jayden Cornell (18) and Reed Cook (13) each scored in double digits.

Minster 57, Botkins 43

MINSTER — Trent Roetgerman (12), Bryan Falk (11) and Eric Schmidt (11) each scored in double digits for the host Wildcats. Jacob Pleiman had 23 points for Botkins.
