Allen County: The Allen County Archers are holding traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long. They are open to all archery equipment.
Columbus Grove: The Columbus Grove Archery Club is holding its traditional shoots Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. through April.

Lima: Local competition for the Elks Hoop Shoot will be held at the Lima Community Church Axis Center, 2945 N Cole Street, Lima, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The Elks Hoop Shoot is the national free throw shooting contest for boys and girls age 8 through 13. Each contestant has 25 shots at the hoop. The boy and girl in each age group (8-9; 10-11; and 12-13) with the best score advance through four tiers of competition to qualify for the national finals.
Local winners will compete against other contestants in the District Hoop Shoot event at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio. The District competition will be held in the King Horn Gymnasium on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. Registration will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Lima: The Spartan Basketball Lunches with Coach Quincey Simpson have begun at The Met in downtown Lima.
The lunches are held at noon Fridays at the same time and place throughout the basketball season. It is a time for supporters to hear from Coach Simpson and to ask him questions.

HALL OF FAME
Lima: The next induction of the Lima City Schools Athletic Hall of Fame will be held Feb. 15 with tickets to the event on sale now in the Lima Senior Athletic Office.
The Lima City Schools Athletic Hall of Fame honors teams, athletes, coaches and contributors from Lima Senior High School, Central High School and South High School. A Legacy Award has been added this year.
Inductees will first be recognized during halftime of the Friday, Feb. 14, home basketball game. Tipoff of the varsity game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held Saturday, Feb. 15, at the UNOH Event Center, 1450 N. Cable Road. A reception for inductees and families will begin at 5 p.m. with the dinner and program starting at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the event are $35 and can be purchased in the Lima Senior Athletic Office during school hours. A table can be reserved for $280. To reserve tickets, call 419-996-3050.
Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. Lima: The Lima Family YMCA is holding a karate program from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fee is $30 for members and $60 for nonmembers.
Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.
Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday (appointment only). Free for YMCA members and $3 per visit for nonmembers or $20 per month for nonmembers (unlimited play). Individuals can register online at limaymca.net.
Bluffton: The Bluffton Family Recreation will be offering pickleball from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays and from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursdays.

Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting.
