Roundup: Bluffton advances in boys D-III soccer

TIFFIN — Bluffton advanced to the Division III regionals in boys soccer with a 1-0 overtime victory Saturday night against Riverdale at Columbian High School. No other information was reported about this match at deadline. The Pirates will play Fairview at 7 p.m. Tuesday at a yet to be announced site.

ELIDA — The Bulldogs advanced to play Oak Harbor in a Division II regional semifinal at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Findlay High School. No other information was reported about this match.

DELPHOS — Blake Reynolds ran 10 times for 118 yards and a pair of scores and also had a two TD throws, one each to Zac Ridenour and Gabe Clement. Jaden Daniels had 10 carries for 71 yards and two TDs.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the Northwest Conference while Jefferson fell to 1-8 (0-6 in NWC).

CRESTLINE — Pandora-Gilboa’s Bryce Basinger had six receptions for 178 yards in the Rockets’ 62-8 victory Friday night against Crestline, breaking the 2018 school mark of 175 yards set by Riley Larcom in 2018. Teammate Silas Schmenk, who completed 17 of 18 pass attempts for 288 yards, tied Josh Breece’s 2010 school record with five TD throws. Two of the scoring passes went to Basinger.
