Ottawa-Glandorf 38, Defiance 7

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf’s Jacob Balbaugh was 13 of 15 for 2o4 yards and three touchdowns and Eric Heebsh rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown. Titan receiver Brennan Blevins caught five passes for 11o yards and two touchdowns and Jarrod Beach had five catches for 48 yards and one touchdown. Defiance quarterback Aaron Cruz was 10 of 24 for 112 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.

Ottawa-Glandorf improves to 7-1 and 7-0 in the Western Buckeye League. Defiance falls to 2-6 overall and 2-5 in league action.

Kenton 28, Shawnee 0

KENTON — Kenton’s Blaine Huston was 38 of 52 for 382 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Wildcat receiver Jayden Cornell caught 13 passes for 141 yards and Landon Rush had nine catches for 91 yards. Jacob Eversole hauled in 11 catches for 125 yards and one touchdown. The Kenton defense limited the Indians to 108 total yards.

St. Marys 35, Bath 7

ST. MARYS — St. Marys’ Aiden Hinkle rushed for 40 yards and one touchdown. Roughrider Dylan Trogdlon passed for one touchdown and returned a punt for 71 yards for another score. Rider quarterback Kurt Bubp was 4 of 8 for 65 yards and rushed for a touchdown. For Bath, Dallin McDermott was 10 of 20 for 136 yards with three interceptions. McDermott did run for a touchdown.

Wapakoneta 38, Celina 7

WAPAKONETA — Wapakoneta’s Reed Merricle ran for 155 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries and passed for a touchdown. The Redskin defense held Celina to 171 total yards and intercepted two passes. For Celina Cooper Jones was 7 of 11 for 51 yards and Jaxson Sillman had 43 yards on 17 carries.

Van Wert 44, Elida 35

VAN WERT — Van Wert’s Jake Hilleary rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries and Cougar quarterback owen Treece was 11 of 17 for 135 yards and two touchdowns. Van Wert receiver Dru Johnson had six catches for 95 yards and one touchdown. Van Wert’s Nick Gutierrez had one interception for a touchdown and Logan Dotson had an interception for a touchdown. For Elida, quarterback Larkin Henderson was 6 of 17 for 160 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Bulldog running back Marcel Poe rushed for 98 yards and one touchdown on eight carries and KeShawn Spivey rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on two carries and had one catch for 66 yards and one touchdown.

Crestview 63, Ada 12

CONVOY — Crestview’s Brody Brecht rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries and was 1 for 1 passing with one touchdown for 23 yards. Knight Kaden Short carried the ball seven times for 83 yards and three touchdowns. Ada’s Zac Swaney rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.

Crestview evens its overall record at 4-4 and improves to 3-2 in the Northwest Conference. Ada falls to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the NWC.

Bluffton 42, Delphos Jefferson 14

BLUFFTON — Bluffton’s Taylor Neff rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries and Tyson Shutler rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns and Nate Schaadt carries the ball 18 times for 69 yards and two touchdowns. Jefferson’s Logan Hubert was 8 of 12 for 122 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Wildcat running back JT Taviano rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries and caught three balls for 38 yards and one touchdown. Delphos Jefferson receiver Colin Bailey had five catches for 100 yards.

Allen East 42, Paulding 21

PAULDING — Allen East quarterback Bryce Belcher rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries and was 7 of 12 for 55 yards and one touchdown. Paulding’s Jacob Deisler rushed for 209 yards and one touchdown.

Allen East ups its record to 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the NWC. Paulding falls to 3-5 for the seaosn and 2-3 in the NWC.

Lima Central Catholic 55, Shelby 41

SHELBY — LCC’s Shaun Thomas ran 19 times for 318 yards and four touchdowns and caught four passes for 114 yards and a pair of TDS.

Lima Central Catholic improved to 7-1 and Shelby fell to 5-3 on the season.

Liberty-Benton 24, Leipsic 21

LEIPSIC — Leipsix scored 21 points in the second half but fell short. Viking quarterback Drew Liffick was 15 of 24 for 201 yards and two touchdowns. Leipsic receiver Tyler Sickmiller had six catches for 106 yards and one touchdown. Leipsic running back Cole Williamson gained 71 yards on 14 carries. For Liberty-Benton, Marshall Rose rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries.

Liberty-Benton improves to 7-1 on the yer and 6-0 in the Blanchard Valley Conference. Leipsic suffers its first loss of the season and goes to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the BVC.

Arlington 28, Pandora-Gilboa 21

ARLINGTON — Pandora-Gilboa quarterback Silas Schmenk was 22 of 38 for 331 yards and three touchdowns. Rocket receiver Bryce Basinger had 10 catches for 171 yards and one touchdown and Walter Macke had three catches for 59 yards and one touchdown. Austin Miller had four catches for 55 yards and one touchdown. Arlington’s Noah Thibaut had 147 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries and Connor Foust had 70 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.

Pandora-Gilboa falls to 3-5 for the year and 2-4 in the BVC. Arlington improves to 6-2 and 3-2 in the BVC.

Hardin Northern 12, Elgin 8

LARUE — Hardin Northern Owen Wetherill rushed for 147 yards and two touchdown on 21 carries. The Polar Bear defense forced two fumbles and made two interceptions.

Minster 27, Marion Local 26

MINSTER — Minster quarterback Jacob Niemeyer was 16 of 20 for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Wildcat receiver Brendan Bornhorst caught six passes for 52 yards and one touchdown and Bryan Falk had seven catches for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Schmitmer rushed for 176 yards on 39 carries. For Marion Local, Kyle Muhlenkamp was 10 of 18 for 186 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Muhlenkamp also rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on seven carries.

Minster improves to 7-1 and 5-1 in the MAC and Marion Local falls to 6-2 on the season and 5-1 in the MAC.

Anna 49, Coldwater 8

ANNA — Anna’s Riley Huelskamp rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries and BArt Bixler had 161 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. Rocket quarterback Bart Bixler was 7 of 8 for 76 yards and two touchdowns.

Anna goes to 7-1 on the year and 5-1 in the Midwest Athletic Conference and Coldwater drops to 7-1 for the season and 5-1 in the MAC.

Parkway 49, Delphos St. John’s 35

DELPHOS — Delphos quarterback Brady Kerner was 12 of 24 for 150 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Brady Grothaus rushd for 119 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries. Isaac Fairchild had 36 yards and two touchdowns on five attempts. Blue Jays receiver Devin Lindeman had five catches for 86 yards and one touchdown and Gavin Fitro had five catches for 57 yards and one touchdown. For Parkway, Eli Rich was 12 of 17 for 268 yards and two touchdowns and one interception. Nick Hawk rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. Jason Luth had five receptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns.

Cory-Rawson 42, Vanlue 32

MT. CORY — Cory-Rawson’s Deontae Davis rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns on 25 crries and Tommy STauffer rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries.

Cory-Rawson pickes up its first win at 1-7 overall and 1-4 in the BVC. Vanlue falls to 2-6 overall and 0-6 in the BVC.

D-II state tourney

MASON — Bath’s Ruby and Esther Bolon were eliminated 6-0, 7-5 by Shaker Heights Laurel’s Rachel Buchinsky and Ellie Brotherton in the quarterfinals of the Division II state doubles competition at Lindner Family Tennis Center.

The Bolons opened the tournament with a 6-0, 6-0 win against Wheelersburg’s Maddie Gill and Kaitlyn Sommer. Shawnee’s Katie Clark and Alotus Wei lost 6-0, 6-0 in the first round to Cincinnati Indian Hill’s Hayley Hirsch and Morgan Coburn.
