Each week, The Lima News publishes a calendar of events of local interest. Events should be submitted by noon Wednesday of each week to The Lima News.
Allen County: The Allen County Archers are holding open 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday each month through September. They are open to all archery equipment. The club also holds traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long.

Lima: The Lima YMCA is registering teams for the 3 on 3 men’s basketball league for individuals 18 and older. Registration runs through Oct. 22 with a fee of $50 per player or $300 per team. The league begins Oct. 22 and will be played every Thursday at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. Lima: The Lima Family YMCA is holding a karate program from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fee is $30 for members and $60 for nonmembers.
Lima: At 7:30 p.m Tuesdays and Thursdays, Apex Sports Zone will have classes for adults and those 14 and older. Go to lima.apexsportszone.com/kickboxing.
Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.
Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday (appointment only). Free for YMCA members and $3 per visit for nonmembers or $20 per month for nonmembers (unlimited play). Individuals can register online at limaymca.net.
Bluffton: The Bluffton Family Recreation will be offering pickleball from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays and from 8:30-10:30a.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursdays.
Pandora: The Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm, Pandora, is holding the fourth annual Quarry Farm 5K Run/Walk event at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. The race will be held rain or shine.
Pre-registration and more information is available online at thequarryfarm.org under events. Registration on the day of the event begins at 8:30 a.m. Check-in for preregistered participants is from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Minster: The 41st annual Oktoberfest Classic 10k will be held at at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6., Race information and registration can be found at minster10k.com. A one-mile fun run will also be held at 9:35 a.m. Oct. 6. Registration will be held at the high school. Cost is $5.
Lima: The Lima YMCA is registering individuals for the Youth Soccer League. Registration starts Sept. 21 and runs to Oct. 26 for individuals in grades 4-6. The fee is $25 for members and $50 for non members.
Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly.
