CELINA — Lima Central Catholic began its postseason quest for a second straight girls Division II golf state championship with the sectional title Tuesday at the par 72 Celina Lynx Golf Club.
The Thunderbirds finished with a team total of 315. Also qualifying for district were St. Henry (352) and Coldwater (372).
LCC’s Mary Kelly Mulcahy was medalist with a 2-under-par 70. Erin Mulcahy (72), Emma Mayers (86) and Bridget Mulcahy (87) contributed to the winning team total.
Ellen Naumann (71), Claire Clune (91), Gwyn Elking (93) and Alana Siefring (97) combined for St. Henry’s total.
Emma Eckstein (87), Grace Burschur (89), Laney Finke (92) and Jordan Hemmelgarn (104) had scores used for Coldwater.
Fort Recovery’s Jalyn Bruns (85), New Bremen’s Sarah Parker (86) and Minster’s Layne Voisard (86) advanced as individuals.
Lincolnview’s Shiann Kraft (87), Sydnie McGue (93) of Delphos Jefferson, Paige Gaynier (98) of Delphos St. John’s, St. Marys’ Eva Youngs (99), Marion Local’s Mary Lou Hoelscher (104), Ridgemont’s Hannah Shoffner (105), Parkway’s Emily Clutter (118) and Kenton’s Anna Longbrake (110) had the low rounds for their respective schools.
Moose Landing sectional
OTTAWA — Kalida’s Grace Miller advanced as an individual while earning medalist honors with a 79 at the par 72 Moose Landing Country Club. Teammate Kayla Nartker also earned a district spot with an 89. None of the area schools competing in the event had enough players to post team scores.
Ottoville’s Allie Honigford (89), Miller City’s Isabelle Vance (99), Pandora-Gilboa’s Hailey Dysert (117), Leipsic’s Morgan Kamphaus (128) and Bluffton’s Allison Burgaze (135) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

LIMA — Medalist Haylee Wurm (37), Madilyn Paphanchith (39), Addie Hilden (51) and Molly Haas (55) combined for the winning total at par 36 Oaks Golf Club.

Chase Dunson (player of the year) and Craig Ludwig (coach of the year) of Northwest Central Conference champion Waynesfield-Goshen received top honors.
Joining Dunson on the all-first team were Isaac Dillon (Elgin), John Zumberger (Riverside), Tyler Gratz (Upper Scioto Valley), Hyatt Kaufman (Waynesfield Goshen) and Gauge Rumer (Waynesfield-Goshen).
