Roundup: LCC sets school mark in girls golf

LIMA — The Lima Central Catholic set a school girls golf team record with a 148 total in a Northwest Ohio Girls Golf League tri match Tuesday at par 36 Lost Creek.

Erin and Mary Kelly Mulcahy tied for medalist honors with each shooting 36. Emma Mayers shot 37 and Bridget Mulcahy fired a 39 also for LCC. Findlay (212) finished second followed by North Baltimore (223).

Shawnee 187, Van Buren 206

LIMA — Medalist Madilyn Paphanchith (41), Haylee Wurm (43), Molly Haas (51) and Addie Hilden (52) combined for the winning total at the par 36 Oaks.

Girls tennis

Bath 4, Elida 1

Singles players Esther Bolon and Ruby Bolon and the doubles teams of Fayme Gandhi and Elena Oliver and Rachel Wilcox and Chloe Rieman all won for Bath. Rylie Mick won for Elida.

Shawnee 4, Van Wert 1

Singles players Aria Patel, Kunmi Ojo and Alora Patel and the doubles team of Katie Clark and Alotus Wei all won for Shawnee. The doubles team of Kaylee Jennings and Jada Buckner won for Van Wert.

St. Marys 5, Lehman Catholic 0

Singles players Allie Vanderhorst, Grace Dodson and Charley Spencer and the doubles teams of Allyson Tagle and Jaden Gibson and Ashley Dawson and Alivia Sawmiller all won.

Ottawa-Glandorf 4,

Archbold 1

Singles players Addy Schmiedebusch, Emma Schmiedebusch and Alyse Balbaugh and the doubles team of Claire Ellerbrock and Sami Ellerbrock all won for O-G.

Tessa Jordan and Sophia Fusillo each had two goals and teammate Sophia Miller and Van Wert’s Savannah Nygren each had a single tally. Bri Ridenour had a pair of assists.

Julia Meyer, Tori Newland and Olivia Silone each had a goal for Allen East. The name of Crestview’s goal scorer was not reported by deadline.

Chandler Clark had four goals, Ainsley Miller had two goals and a pair of assists, Alexis Hammons had four assists and Lexi Renner had a goal.

Madi Lause had two goals and Wapak’s Taylor Jenkins and Elida’s Brooke Reese had one tally each.

Peyton Wurth had two goals and Kalida’s Livia Recker and Jordyn Vandemark and DSJ’s Leah Hodgson each had a single tally.

Carley Eichler had two goals and Celina’s Reily Cox, Mia Rolfes and Makenna Klingshirn and O-G’s Lilly Haselman each had a single tally.

Kayla White had two goals and Riley Eachus had a single tally.

Jacob Poling had three goals, Skyler Williams scored twice and teammate Carter Conley had a single tally. Isaac Spar contributed three assists.

Wyatt Davis had two goals and teammates Noah Becher and Rhenn Armey had one each. Landon Moody had the Lancers’ goal.

Malachi Blackma had two goals and Silas Gillespie and Braylen Kennedy each had a tally for Allen East.

Zach Vonderembse had four goals, Gabe Hovest had three tallies, Evan Roebke had a pair of assists and Braeden Recker got the shutout in goal.

The Spartans were unable to get their first Three Rivers Athletic Conference win of the season.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Justin Altenbach (43), Derek Rhodes (44), Colton Morris (47) and Jack Shivley (47) combined for the winning total at par 36 Shawnee Country Club. LCC’s Ross Otto was medalist with a 41.

PCL tri match

OTTAWA — Leipsic had the low team score of 183 against Putnam County foes Columbus Grove (189) and Miller City (193) at par 35 Pike Run. Medalist Jaden Siefker (44), Mason Brandt (46), Brock Lammers (46) and Mason Tadena (47) combined for the winning total. Grove’s Austin Macke and Miller City’s TJ Michel each shot 45 to lead their respective squads.

Paulding 178, Ottoville 181

DEFIANCE — Medalist Kyle Dominique (43), Kolson Egnor (44), Boston Pease (45) and Hailey Harzell (46) combined for the winning total. Carter Schnipke led Ottoville with a 44.

The Vikings (11-1, 3-0 Putnam Country League) won 25-13, 25-14, 25-16. Jocie Hermiller had four aces, Lyndie Hazelton had 24 assists and three aces, Kasey Brough had 11 kills, Liz Scheckelhoff had 10 kills, Peyton Heitmeyer had seven kills and eight digs and Brooke Brown had seven digs for Leipsic. Kennedy Hiltner had four kills and 14 digs, Mackenzie Rayle had 12 assists and Madelyn Potts had six kills and 18 digs for Continental.

WAYNESFIELD — Perry’s Brady Yingst was the top finishing individual with a time of 18:46.0. W-G’s Kort Sutherland (19:38.0), Alec Spangler (19:51.0) and Javier DeLeon (19:56.0) finished second through fourth.

WAYNEFIELD — Waynesfield-Goshen posted the only team total of 15. Elgin’s Brooklyn Mathews was the race winner in 23:40.0. Perry’s Lilly Floyd (25:57.0) was second, Waynesfield-Goshen’s Kyra Sutherland (26:14.0) and Samantha Smith (27:07.0) were third and fourth respectively and Perry’s Brooke Miller (27:21.0) finished fifth.

Bluffton’s Sullivan

BLUFFTON — Bluffton University junior Sienna Sullivan has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Sullivan allowed one goal in more than 190 minutes as IU-Kokomo scored late in double overtime to break a scoreless tie Thursday night before Sullivan pitched a shutout on Sunday in Bluffton’s 1-0 victory against Hiram College.
