Lima Senior’s Josiah Fulcher has verbally committed to play basketball at Bowling Green State University Thursday.

The senior standout, who averaged 17.1 points per game last year, was the 2019 Three Rivers Athletic co-player of the year and was named to the first-team All-Northwest District selection and received second team all-state honors.

Fulcher helped guide the Spartans to a 22-5 overall record and a share of the Three Rivers Athletic Conference championship with a 12-2 record and a berth in the regional finals.

to be held Saturday

BATH TOWNSHIP — The Orthopaedic Institute of Ohio Bath Invitational will be held Saturday at Bath High School. Competition begins at 10 a.m. with Allen East, Bath, Bluffton, Bryan, Northwood and Old Fort scheduled to compete.

Admission for the tournament will be $6 for adults and $3 for students.

KOKOMO, Ind. — Bluffton Universitybattled for nearly 105 minutes, but host IU-Kokomo snatched a victory in double overtime. Bluffton slipped to 1-4 on the season following its second extra-time loss in the last three matches, while Kokomo improved to 2-3 on the season.

Bluffton keeper Sienna Sullivan finished with eight saves.

ADA — Ohio Northern University has joined the Great Lakes Esports Conference which will be starting its inaugural season this fall.

Ohio Northern joins Aquinas (Mich.), Lourdes, Mount Union, Mount Vernon Nazarene, Muskingum, Northwood (Michigan), Tiffin, Trine (Indiana) and Marietta.

The Polar Bears will be playing League of Legends and Overwatch in the conference.
