Ohio State football recruiting update

Ohio State has gone from thinking it had commitements from two highly rated running backs to scrambling to find a quality running back in its 2020 recruiting class.

Bijan Robinson, a 5-star running back from Tucson, Ariz., committed to Texas last week after being considered almost a lock for OSU. Robinson, of Tucson Salpointe Catholic High School, rushed for 2,400 yards as a junior.

Jaylan Knighton, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., chose to stay closer to home and picked Florida State over Ohio State. Knighton rushed for 2,099 yards last season.

Running backs coach Tony Alford says OSU is not worried about the loss of the two recruits and will find replacements.
