2018 postseason: Lost 7-3 to Kalida in district semifinals.
Coach’s analysis: Our team lost a great core of players from last year’s district semis finish. Three of our players who graduated 44 of our 70 goals scored last year. We are young and lack depth with only one senior and 13 players on our roster. Our team continues to develop chemistry and work hard at our conditioning which will be key if we want to stay healthy and be competitive in the WOSL. If we continue to work hard with the basic fundamentals we will continue to get better and hopefully be a challenge come tournament time.

This has been a learning process and will continue to be as the season progresses. All the guys have been working hard and willing to learn their new roles. Coach’s analysis: Returning 10 starters from last season. Our main strength will be our experience. Return three of our four top goal scorers and return our defenders and goalie as well. With promising younger classmen coming up, we look to build onto what we were able to do with a young team last season.

Towards the end of the year last year they stepped up in a team leadership role on the field. I’m excited to see what this extremely small in stature but big in potential can produce this year.

2018 TRAC record: 0-7 (eighth)
2018 postseason: Lost 9-2 to Mansfield Madison Comprehensive
Coach’s analysis: A new season presents many new opportunities for the Lima Senior soccer team. Lead by seniors Caden Fry, Isaiah Mendez, Hunter Smith, and Quintin Factor along with a large junior class, Lima Senior will have a very different game than last season. The Spartans, who finished 3-13, return this season with a new confidence and energy ready to use their skills to compete this season.
