HARROD — Elida won the team championship Thursday at the Rob Contini Memorial Invitational boys golf tournament Thursday at the par 72 Colonial Golfers Club.

The Bulldogs finished with a team score of 300 followed by Lima Central Catholic (348), Shawnee (354), Allen East (364), Bath (391), Parkway (392) and Arlington (409).

Medalist Gavin Harmon (71), Carson Harmon (73), Ethan Harmon (74) and Hunter Jolliff (82) combined for the winning score.

Lima Central Catholic’s Ross Otto (82), Bath’s Britton Hall (82), Shawnee’s Justin Altenbach (82), Allen East’s Carter Frey (84) and Parkway’s Caden Slusher (94) had the low rounds for their respective teams Perry’s Keaton Miller shot 97 playing as an individual.

NWC quad match

BLUFFTON — Bluffton had the low score of 178 in Northwest Conference competition involving Columbus Grove (193), Ada (199) and Crestview (232) at par-36 Bluffton Golf Club.

Co-medalist Drew Wilson (42), Kenny Lovett (43), Jared Piercefield (45) and Micah Minnig (48) combined for the winning total. Columbus Grove’s Zac Roberts tied for the low round with a 42 and Ada’s Brevin Sizemore (49) and Crestview’s Dillon Underwood (52) had the low rounds for their respective teams.

Lima Senior 253

BLUFFTON — Medalist Alex Ricker (45), Trey Hovest (47), Eli Huffman (48) and Sam Norton (58) combined for the winning total at par-36 Bluffton Golf Club. Zach Zwiebel led Lima Senior with a 59.

Quad match

DELPHOS — Leipsic (190) had the low team total against Ottoville (194), Miller City (209) and Fort Jennings (225) at par-36 Delphos Country Club.

Mason Brandt, who tied Ottoville’s Carter Schnipke for medalist honors with a 43, Mason Tadena (45), Brock Lammers (49) and Jaden Siefker (53) combined for the winning total. Miller City’s TJ Michel (45) and Fort Jennings’ Gavin Schimmoeller (52) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

Paulding Invitational

DEFIANCE — Kalida won the 17-team tournament with a 316 total, 19 shots ahead of runner-up Antwerp.

Josh Recker (73), Ryan Klausing (77), David Peck (81) and Grace Miller (85) combined for the winning score at par-72 Auglaize Golf Club. Delphos Jefferson’s Logan Gallmeier (78) and Paulding’s Kolson Egnor (85) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

Defiance Invitational

DEFIANCE — Lima Central Catholic won the team title with a 319 total at the par-71 Eagle Rock Golf Club.

Medalist Erin Mulcahy (72), Mary Kelly Mulcahy (74), Bridget Mulcahy (85) and Emma Mayers (88) combined for the first-place total.

Celina (417) finished second and Shawnee (433) fifth in the 10-team field.

Celina’s Madelynn Sudhoff (95) and Shawnee’s Madilyn Paphanchith (94) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

Delphos Jefferson 219,

Marion Local 234

Kaylee Buzard (53), Sydnie McGue (54), Anna Fitch (56) and Emma Mueller (56) combined for the winning total. Marion Local’s Mary Lou Hoelscher was medalist with a 49. Winter Boroff had a 55 for Lincolnview, which did not have enough players for a team score.

Bath to hold

Blue and Gold Game

BATH TOWNSHIP — The Bath Blue and Gold Game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Friday with an open practice.

A performance by the competition cheer team is scheduled for 6 p.m. followed by a performance by the Bath Tradition of Excellence. A scrimmage will then take place at 6:30 p.m. with a punt challenge between quarters. A meet and greet with the seniors will follow the game.

A photo booth, temporary tattoos with Bath Interact, football toss, dunk tank, concessions, snow cones, free coloring pages and a drawing for a cheer bow from Tie It in a Bow are also planned. There will also be a volleyball team bake sale.

Bath alum and former assistant Ryan Reindel is in his first season as the Wildcats’ head coach.

WAR Wrestling

event Sept. 7

WAR Wrestling Presents Freedom Fight 2 is scheduled for Sept. 7 to the Bradfield Community Center in Lima with all first responders getting in for free.

Advance tickets are on sale at warwrestling.com, Groamy’s Cd’s and Tapes and Alter Ego Comics. Tickets are $15 for VIP and $8 for general admission. Tickets at the door will be $12 for general admission and $18 for reserved VIP.

Doors open will open at 5:30 p.m. for first responders & VIP ticket holders and 6:30 p.m. for general admission. Wrestling is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

Scheduled bouts include: “Legendary” Larry D vs. Jake Something, Craig Mitchell vs. Brandon Day, Jack Price vs. Pat Monix, Dustin Rayz vs. Orlando Christopher, Shane Foster vs. Aaron Williams, Ryan Michaels vs. Crash Jaxon, PavCity & Will The Thrill vs. Jimmy Shane & Matt Taylor and Cody Hawk & Gino DeCapo vs. Karam & Tommy Vendetta.

Also scheduled to appear: Beastman, Papa Dingo, The Mysterious Movado, The Voodoo King Mojo McQueen, Cody Jones, Austin Manix, Rick Toms and Ripper Blackhart.
