Columbus Grove’s Hunter Roethlisberger (super heavy weight) and Pandora’s Gage Hovest (middle weight) successfully defended their titles recently at the Teen Nationals Strongman competition.

Events included a truck pull, the Max Log Lift, where the log begins on the ground and must be lifted overhead, Mouser Blocks, where steel blocks had to be picked up and put above a chest-high bar, stone lifting, where competitors lift a stone from the ground to their chest and above their heads and the Hercules Hold, where competitors hold a massive amount of weight stationary with either hand while the weight pulls against their grip.

Roethlisberger was noted for his 380-pound lift in the Mouser Blocks.
