ADULT FITNESS

ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers are holding open 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday each month through September. They are open to all archery equipment. The club also holds traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long.

BASEBALL

Lima: Hitting league registration now open. Apex Sports Zone will be holding machine pitch hitting leagues for both baseball and softball. Four-player teams will compete in a six-week season including five league games and one postseason game. Games are five innings long in Apex’s professional, turfed cages. BASKETBALL

Elida: Registration is underway for the The Dakota Mathias Basketball Camp at the Elida Fieldhouse July 22-23. The camp for kindergarten through fourth grade runs from 8:30 a.m. and from for fifth through ninth graders from noon to 4 p.m. The fee is $115 for kindergarten through fourth grade and $165 for campers fifth through ninth grade. Lima: The Tier 1 Sports Academy Summer Combine is scheduled June 10-14 at Lima Senior High School for boys and girls in grades 2-8. Sessions will run from 10 a.m. to noon each day. Cost is $100 per player. Players should “bring a ball and plenty of energy,” according to a flyer for the camp. Lima Senior boys basketball coach Quincey Simpson and Greg (Radar) Williamson will direct the camp.

Bluffton: Bluffton Family Recreation announces registration underway for a basketball clinic for 6th to 8th graders July 15-18 from 1 to 3 p.m. The fee is $20 members/$40 program participants. A camp for third to fifth graders will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. July 22-23. The fee is $10 members/$20 program participant. FOOTBALL

Fostoria: The Fostoria Athletic Boosters - Sunny Farms East-West All-Star Game will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Fostoria Municipal Stadium. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased from participating players or at the gate. For more information contact Bob Frias at frias13@aol.com.

Kenton: Kenton Youth Football will present its first Never Give Up Camp at Robinson Field, 725 Summit St., Kenton, on Friday, July 26th. Check in will begin at 6:30 p.m.. Camp will start at 7 p.m. The camp will finish at approximately 8:30 P.M. There is not a registration fee for the camp. Donations will be accepted at check in. Donations will go to the Kenton Youth Football Program and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. All participants will receive a free T-Shirt at check in.

GOLF

Lima: The 92nd Lima City Golf Men’s Tournament is scheduled to take place June 26-30 at courses in the Lima area. The tournament will begin for the Open Flight players with a qualifying round on June 26 at Colonial Golfers Club. The Senior Flights will start that day with qualifiers at Bluffton Golf Club. The Championship Flight will play a qualifying round Thursday morning, June 27, at Colonial Golfers Club and will then play the first round of match play that afternoon. The Open Flights will play the first round of Match Play that day at Bluffton and the Senior Flights Match Play will begin at Springbrook Golf Club. Friday will see all flights playing at Hidden Creek. The semifinals and finals are scheduled to take place Saturday and Sunday at Shawnee Country Club. Carts will be included for all rounds. Lunches will also be provided for all players Wednesday through Friday. Online registration available at limacitygolf.com.

Lima: The 51st annual Chamber of Commerce golf outing will be held Aug. 7 at Hidden Creek and Colonial Golf Course. The fee for chamber members is $85 per golfer or $340 for a foursome and $95 for non chamber members and 380 for a foursome. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m.

HORSESHOES

Lima

The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. KARATE

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA is holding a karate program from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fee is $30 for members and $60 for nonmembers.

KICKBOXING

Lima: At 7:30 p.m Tuesdays and Thursdays, Apex Sports Zone will have classes for adults and kids 14 and older. Go to lima.apexsportszone.com/kickboxing.

PICKLEBALL

Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.

Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday (appointment only). Free for YMCA members and $3 per visit for nonmembers or $20 per month for nonmembers(unlimited play). Individuals can register online at limaymca.net.

Bluffton: The Bluffton Family Recreation will be offering pickleball from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays and from 8:30-10:30a.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursdays.

RUN/WALK

Kalida: The fourth annual Running with the Law Sprint Triathlon and 5K Race will be held at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 17 at Four Seasons Park, 18031 Road M. Lima: The Freedom 5K and 10K will be held on the Fourth of July at Faurot Park. The 10K is scheduled for 8 a.m. and the 5K at 8:30 a.m. with q 1 Mile Bling and Fun Run to be held at 8:30 a.m. Pre-registration fees are $30 for the 5K and 10K, $20 for the 5K and 10K no frills option, $25 for the Bling Run and $5 for the Fun Run. Lima: Apex Sports Zone is playing host to Advanced Soccer Skills. VOLLEYBALL

Bluffton: The Bluffton University volleyball team will host several skills camps this summer.A kindergarten through fifth grade camp will be held from 10 a.m.–noon on Wednesday, June 26. This camp will introduce basic volleyball skills while incorporating fun volleyball activities. Registration is $25 per camper.Two camps will be held for sixth through eighth grade students. From June 27-28, an overnight camp will focus on correct form and movement. Campers will also be engaged through leadership activities during breaks. Registration is $165 for two days of instruction, meals and overnight accommodations. Cost is $130 for students who plan to commute. A day camp for sixth through eighth grade students will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Monday, July 29. Basic skills including passing, setting, attacking, defense and serving will be highlighted. Registration is $50 per camper. An overnight camp for high school students will be held July 10-11. Registration is $165 for two days of instruction, meals and overnight accommodations.
