Lima Junior Golf Association series tees off

LIMA — Cole Maurer had the low 18-hole total of 3-over-par 75 Tuesday in winning the boys 16-18 division of the Eagles Aerie #370 Open at Tamarac Golf Club to open this year’s Lima Junior Golf Association — McDonald’s Junior Series.

Carson Harmon birdied the first playoff hole to claim second place after tieing Gavin Harmon with a 78.

Ellen Naumann (79) won the girls 16-18 division with Grace Miller (85) finishing second. Jack Gerker (87) was the boys 14-15 winner with Zach Miller (93) finishing second.

Parker Judy had a nine-hole score of 3-over 39 to win the boys 12-13 competition. Connor Nartker (44) was second.

Haylee Wurm (56) was first and Kayla Nartker (58) second in the girls 15 and younger division. Kallie McKinley won the tiebreaker against Damo Watson to win the peewee 11 and younger competition after each shot 41.
