Blackmore strikes out 15 in Van Wert victory

MILLER CITY — Bluffton’s Libby Schaadt (9-1) allowed no hits and two walks while striking out 13 in Bluffton’s 10-0 softball victory Friday against Miller City.

Schaadt also had a home run, a double and an RBI. Riley Busch had two hits and two RBI and Averey Rumer had a pair of hits also for Bluffton.

St. Marys 1, Van Wert 0

ST. MARYS — Winning pitcher Karsyn McGlothen allowed no hits and six walks while striking out 11 in seven innings. Alyssa Alexander had a double and a single for also for the host Roughriders. Van Wert’s Lauren Moore allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out four in 6 1/3 innings.

Fort Recovery 22, Russia 7

RUSSIA — Hannah Knapke had four hits and six RBI, Lydia Wenning had three hits and six RBI, Brenna Homan and Macy Day each had three hits and an RBI, Macy Shinabery had two hits and four RBI, Jackie Homan had two hits and three RBI and Choloey Grisez had two hits for Fort Recovery.

Coldwater 13, Houston 6

COLDWATER — Grace Stammen had a double, three singles and two RBI, Macy Sheffer had three doubles and two RBI, Maddie Steinke had three doubles and an RBI, Rachel Klosterman had a double and two singles and Maddie Sheffer had a double, a single and two RBI for the host Cavaliers.

Celina 11, Elida 8

CELINA — Taylor Turner had a double, two singles and an pair of RBI, Maddy Luebke had two hits and two RBI and Harlee Harris had two singles for Celina. Addie Miller had a double, three singles and an RBI, McKenzie Miller had three hits and two RBI and Kori Baker had two hits for Elida.

VAN WERT — Winning pitcher Lawson Blackmore allowed one earned run, four hits and three walks while striking out 15 in seven innings for the host Cougars.

Nathan Temple had three hits and two RBI, Jaxson Amweg and Jake Lautzenheiser each had two hits and TJ Reynolds had a hit and two RBI also for Van Wert. Trey Fisher had two hits for St. Marys.

Miller City 11, Bluffton 1

MILLER CITY — Winning pitcher Tyler Long and reliever T.J. Michel combined to allow no earned runs, one hit and five walks while striking out eight. Long also had a double, two singles and an RBI. Cole Niese had a double, two singles and three RBI, Eli Ellerbrock had two hits, including a home run, and four RBI, Nick Gable had two hits and an RBI and Ezra Deitering had two hits. Gabe Colley had Bluffton’s hit.

Clay 6, Lima Senior 4

OREGON — Braydon O’Dell had a double and a single and D’Ontre Cowan and Ethan Jordan each had a hit and an RBI for Lima Senior.

Perry 11, Vanlue 1

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Winning pitcher Cameron Dalton gave up no runs, two hits and two walks while striking out seven in four innings. Cole Boroff had tow hits and two RBI and Louis Hoersten and Cameron Patrick each had two hits also for the host Commodores.

Paulding 2, Wayne Trace 1

HAVILAND — Winning pitcher Hunter Kauser allowed four hits and a walk while striking out eight in seven innings. Teammate Blake McGarvey had a hit and an RBI.

Fort Loranie 5, New Bremen 4

FORT LORAMIE — Justin Tenkman had two hits and Patrick Wells had a hit and an RBI for New Bremen.

ST. MARYS — Singles players Howie Spencer, Andy Vogel and Mason King from St. Marys and the Van Wert doubles teams of Kaden Thomas and Nathan Ruger and Jace Fast and Nick Carter all won matches.

LCC 4, Bluffton 1

LIMA — Singles players Brady Koening and Jake Evans and the doubles teams of Colin Guagenti and Zach Burris and Hayden Bader and Drew Hubbard all won for Lima Central Catholic as did Bluffton singles player Drew Wilson.

Ada 3, Harding 2

MARION — Singles players Cade Mullins, Isaac Spar and Miranda Wills all won for Ada.

Ottawa-Glandorf 5, Bath 0

BATH TOWNSHIP — Singles players Carter Welch, Parker Schomaeker and Colin Welch and the doubles team of Drew Kuhlman and Kamron Maag all won matches. O-G’s other doubles win was by forfeit.

Elida 5, Celina 0

CELINA — Singles players Tyler Christoff, Dylan Buetner and Riley Fricke and the doubles teams of Jacob Ramirez and Riley Creps and Wyatt Wuest and Eric Butler each won matches.
