ALLIANCE — Anthony Pavone and Cameron Marous each had hat tricks to lead the Ohio Northern men’s lacrosse team to its eighth consecutive victory, a 12-8 decision at Mount Union on Saturday at Mount Union Stadium.
The Polar Bears improve to 8-1 overall and are 2-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Purple Raiders fall to 2-6 (0-2 OAC).
The victory was also the 13th consecutive road win for ONU, extending their school record.
Northern took control of the game with seven consecutive goals to open the second half.
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The University of Northwestern Ohio improved to 13-5 on the season with a 14-12, 14-8 sweep against Cornerstone University.
In the 14-12 win, Joey Brinegar had four hits, including a double, and three RBI, Grace Jackson had four hits, including a double, and two RBI, Carson Baymiller had two hits, including a home run, and two RBI, Shayla Munyan had two hits, including a double, and two RBI and Kennedy Arndt and Shayla Munyan each had a double and a single for UNOH.

LIMA — Ohio Northern celebrated Senior Day in winning fashion in its 2018-19 OAC opener inside the Westwood Tennis & Fitness Center in Lima.
With the victory, the Polar Bears improve to 10-3 overall this seaso. Meanwhile, the Purple Raiders fall to 8-3 overall and 0-2 in league action.
Senior Ashley Ochsenhirt was honored prior to the match for her three-year career at Ohio Northern after transferring from Mississippi College following her freshman year.
Ochsenhirt, Ada graduate Mackenzie Wills, and Olivia Schrager each won two matches to lead Ohio Northern.

ATLANTA, Ga. — Rue Whitmore and the 3,200-meter relay crew of Madeleine Routhier, Michaela Fox, Chyanne Retcher and Avery Ewing recorded runner-up marks to guide Ohio Northern on the first day of the Emory (Ga.) Classic on Friday.

ATLANTA, Ga. — Andrew Shelton, Jordan Green and Sam Krabacher and Ian McVey claimed the 3,200-meter relay event title and St. Henry graduate Spencer Schulze won the 10,000-meter run, leading Ohio Northern on the first day of the Emory (Ga.) Classic at the Woodruff P.E. Center Track.
