Lima: The Allen County Archers are holding open 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday each month from March through September. They are open to all archery equipment.

Lima: The Lima Diamondbacks 18U travel team has a few positions available for the 2019 summer season. This team is for this year’s high school seniors and juniors and will play a competitive tournament schedule. The team will practice during the winter in the FAST facility in Lima. Lima: Hitting league registration now open. Apex Sports Zone will be holding machine pitch hitting leagues for both baseball and softball. Four-player teams will compete in a six-week season including five league games and one postseason game. Games are five innings long in Apex’s professional, turfed cages. Delphos: The 10th annual Nathan Miller Memorial Tournament will be May 31 through June 2 at the Delphos Stadium Park. The tournament is a 16-20 team tournament for boys age 11-12 years old (age cutoff is March 1). The tournament will be pool play with a three-game guarantee. Lima: A March Madness viewing party is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center of Lima/Allen County. There will be seven 75-inch TVs to watch games along with a cash bar and food available, including $2 draft beers, Activities include three pop-a-shot games, NBA Jam competitions, cornhole, raffles and prizes. Bluffton: A sixth to eighth grade clinic meets in the BFR gym from 4- 5 p.m. Wednesdays from April 10 to May 15, led by Kaycee Rowe.
Delphos: the ninth annual “Bowling for the Boyz” will take place March 23 at the Delphos Recreational Center, 939 East 5th Street. The event is open to the public. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is no entrance fee. Bowling costs $10 per person and includes two games, shoe rental and two fountain drink tickets. Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding registrations for the Youth Flag Football League for 6 to 8 year olds (coed) through March 22. The fee is $25 for members and $50 for non league members.
Bluffton: Flag football takes place Saturdays from April 6 through May 4. It is open to youth ages 5 to 12. Players receive a reversible NFL Flag Jersey and a set of NFL flags. Cost is $35 for members and $70 for program participants.
Lima: The 92nd Lima City Golf Men’s Tournament is scheduled to take place June 26-30 at courses in the Lima area. The tournament will begin for the Open Flight players with a qualifying round on June 26 at Colonial Golfers Club. The Senior Flights will start that day with qualifiers at Bluffton Golf Club. The Championship Flight will play a qualifying round Thursday morning, June 27, at Colonial Golfers Club and will then play the first round of match play that afternoon. The Open Flights will play the first round of Match Play that day at Bluffton and the Senior Flights Match Play will begin at Springbrook Golf Club. Friday will see all flights playing at Hidden Creek. The semifinals and finals are scheduled to take place Saturday and Sunday at Shawnee Country Club. Carts will be included for all rounds. Lunches will also be provided for all players Wednesday through Friday. Online registration will open in May at limacitygolf.com
The Lima YMCA is holding a preschool and youth gymnastics program for boys and girls ages 18 months and older. Classes have started. The fee is $20 for member and$40 for non members.
The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. Ottoville: The Ottoville Mother’s Club will be playing host to its 10th annual 5K Ottoville Big Green Boost Up. Proceeds to help Ottoville students with individual educational needs. Delphos: The seventh annual Organ Donor Dash 5K run/walk will be held Sunday, April 28th. The event will start at Stadium Park in Delphos and run through the streets of town. If pre-registered by April 21st, participants will receive a dri-fir shirt. Race day registration also available starting at noon and the race takes off at 1 pm. Bluffton: Spring U6 soccer takes place from Tuesday, April 2, to Thursday, May 4. It is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 6. Registration deadline is Sunday, March 17. Games are from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at BFR. Each night begins with a 10-minute practice followed by four eight-minute quarters. April 2 is a skills night with no game. Volunteer coaches are needed.
