Roundup: Bluffton falls to Hiram in baseball

OBERLIN — The Bluffton University baseball team Thursday dropped a 15-3 to Hiram at Oberlin College. The Beavers slipped to 5-7 overall, while Hiram improved to 2-7.

Bluffton’s Colin Gregory launched his team-best sixth homer of the season. Jacob Latkofsky and Jeff Strayer also each doubled for the Beavers.

Bluffton is back in action at 1 p.m. Saturday when the Beavers play host to Albion College in a doubleheader.

Women’s lacrosse

Albion 15, Ohio Northern 14

ADA — Ohio Northern’s Jacqui Lohman had career-highs of six goals and seven points, but Albion (Michigan) scored the winning goal with 28 seconds left to grab a 15-14 decision at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

The Polar Bears (2-3 overall) also got five goals from Sydney Skelding.
