Girls basketball: Minster knocks off top-ranked Carroll

DAYTON — Minster, ranked No. 2 in Division IV, defeated Division II No. 1 Carroll 50-35 Saturday in girls high school basketball.

Janae Hoying (13), Ivy Wolf (12) and Courtney Prenger (11) each scored in double digits for the visiting Wildcats (20-1) against the Patriots (20-2).

Columbus Grove 46,

Arlington 37

COLUMBUS GROVE — The host Bulldogs outscored Arlington 22-14 in the second half.

Rylee Sybert had 13 points and six rebounds, Kenzie King scored nine and Angel Schneider finished with eight points and six rebounds for Grove (14-5), which was 15 of 29 for 52 percent on 2-point attempts, won the rebound battle 31-21 and committed 18 turnovers to 14 for Arlington (16-4).

Bluffton 57, Miller City 41

MILLER CITY — The visiting Pirates (14-5) held a 34-21 advantage at halftime, won the rebound battle 29-16 and committed 15 turnovers to 11 for the Wildcats (9-12). Bluffton also connected on 18 of 31 2-point shots (58 percent) and was 4 of 9 on 3-point attempts (44 percent).

Averey Rumer had 14 points, Katie Prater scored 11 and Alivia Koenig finished with 10 points for the Pirates. Natalie Koenig had 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Adrienne Kuhlman scored 11 and Kylie Berner finished with three steals for Miller City.

St. Marys 55, Parkway 38

ST. MARYS — The host Roughriders turned a 23-14 halftime advantage into a 45-27 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

Lauren Cisco had 12 points, Haley Felver scored 10 and Kendall Dieringer finished with nine points for St. Marys (11-10). Claire Eichler had 12 points and Shaelyn Thomas scored eight for the Panthers (3-17).

Patrick Henry 46,

Continental 18

CONTINENTAL — Kerri Prowant had five points and Addy Armey and Alex Hoeffel scored four each for Continental (4-15).
