Girls basketball roundup: Ottawa-Glandorf edges Lima Senior

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf outscored Lima Senior 14-11 in the fourth quarter for a 48-45 girls high school basketball victory Saturday.

O-G, ranked No. 4 in Division III, saw its 25-20 halftime lead disappear as the Spartans outscored the Titans 14-9 in the third quarter.

Ashley Scroeder had 15 points and four assists, Kelsey Erford had eight points and 10 rebounds, senior Erin Kaufman had four assists and freshman Erin Kaufman had eight points for O-G.

Nakiya Sigman had 13 points, Destiny McDonald scored nine, Talor Washington contributed eight points and Cheyanne Bean finished with seven points and six rebounds for Lima Senior. O-G won the rebound battle 32-25 and committed 17 turnovers compared to the Spartans’ 12.

Fort Jennings 54,

Pandora-Gilboa 29

FORT JENNINGS — The Musketeers used an 18-0 advantage in the second quarter to earn the Putnam County League victory. Kristen Luersman had 22 points and 11 rebounds and Madison Neidert scored 14 for Fort Jennings.

Lacie Fenstermaker had 11 points and six rebounds and Regan Russell finished with seven points and five rebounds for P-G.

The teams tied with 26 rebounds while Fort Jennings committed 14 turnovers compared to P-G’s 27.

Columbus Grove 61,

Leipsic 32

LEIPSIC — Kenzie King (16), Rylee Sybert (14) and Angel Schneider (10) each scored in double digits for Grove, which saw its 15-7 lead in the Putnam County encounter at the end of the first quarter grow to 26-14 by halftime. Henry and Rigel each had seven points for Leipsic.

Leipsic (8-4, 3-1 PCL) had 27 rebounds compared to Grove’s 25 while the visiting Bulldogs (9-4, 2-2 PCL) had six turnovers and the Vikings finished with 27. Grove also connected on nine of 17 3-point attempts for 53 percent.

Liberty-Benton 66,

Kalida 34

FINDLAY — Kalida fell to 9-5 on the season with the loss second-ranked Division III Liberty-Benton (12-0).

Abby Wurth had 10 points and Grace Klausing contributed eight rebounds for Kalida, which was outrebounded 22-21 and committed 23 turnovers while L-B had nine.

Lincolnview 43,

Van Wert 32

MIDDLE POINT — Lincolnview built a 20-6 advantage by the end of the first quarter and committed nine turnovers compared to Van Wert’s 13. Van Wert had 22 rebounds while Lincolnview finished with 17.

Adia Welch had 19 points, Briana Ebel scored eight and Lakin Brant finished with 10 rebounds for Lincolnview. Alexis Metz had eight points and Abby Jackson scored seven and recorded five rebounds for Van Wert.

Fort Loramie 56,

Minster 48 (2 OT)

FORT LORAMIE — The second-ranked Redskins defeated top-ranked Minster in battle of Division IV powers.

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Rosie Williams had 22 points and Erin Mulcahy scored 10 for Lima Central Catholic. Tia Barfield led Perry with 16 points.
