Chisholm scores 36 in Cory-Rawson win

COLUMBUS — Defending Division IV state champ Minster is ranked No. 1 in the first Associated Press girls high school media poll of the season.

The Wildcats received 19 first-place votes. Ottoville, which received a first-place vote, is seventh, New Bremen is 11th and New Knoxville is 20th.

Ottawa-Glandorf is fourth in D-III

Hardin Northern 33

DOLA — Zoe Chisholm connected on six 3-point attempts to tie a C-R girls varsity mark as part of her 36-point game, which included eight rebounds, three assists and eight steals. Chisholm finished a point off the girls varsity scoring mark. Kara Schultz scored nine and Sami Roth had three assists also for C-R (3-11). Maddie Grappy scored 22 for Hardin Northern.

Delphos Jefferson 45, Miller City 40

MILLER CITY — Aly Lindeman had 16 points and Addy Stewart scored 11 for Jefferson (6-7). Miller City individual scoring information was not reported by deadline.

Kalida 52, Lincolnview 38

KALIDA — The host Wildcats went from a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter to a 27-15 advantage at halftime. Abby Wurth had 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals, and Grace Klausing scored 11, had six rebounds and five steals for Kalida. Lana Carey had 11 points and Brianna Ebel scored nine for the Lancers. Kalida won the rebound battle 28-18 and committed 16 turnovers to Lincolnview’s 17.

Delphos St. John’s 58,

Paulding 42

DELPHOS — Betty Vorst had 18 points and Paige Gaynier scored 17 for DSJ, which outrebounded Paulding 37-32 and committed 10 turnovers compared to the Panthers’ 14. Chelsi Geisige had 16 points for Paulding.

Ottawa-Glandorf 58,

Perrysburg 35

OTTAWA — Senior Erin Kaufman had 15 points and nine rebounds, Ashley Schroeder scored 12, Bri Schimmoeller had four assists and four steals and Kelsey Ford had eight rebounds for O-G.

Elida 54, Fort Jennings 50

FORT JENNINGS — Amiah Jones (15), Amira Freeman (12) and Cienna Kuhn (10) each reached double digits for the visiting Bulldogs, who outscored the Musketeers 13-11 in the last quarter. Kayleigh Klir had 14 points and Kristen Luersman and Chloe Wieging each scored 11 for Fort Jennings.

Coldwater 34, LCC 32

COLDWATER — Lauren Gilliland had 14 points and 14 rebounds and Kate Leichty had nine points and four steals for the host Cavaliers, who outscored Lima Central Catholic 15-4 in the fourth quarter. Rosie Williams had 13 points and Mary Kelly Mulcahy scored 10 for LCC.

New Knoxville 76,

Waynesfield-Goshen 23

WAYNESFIELD — Morgan Leffel (18), Erin Scott (15), Jacklyn Leffel (13) and Taylor Doty (11) each scored in double digits for the Rangers. Kayla Wicker had 11 points and Jocyln Shultz scored seven for W-G.

New Bremen 57,

Upper Scioto Valley 27

NEW BREMEN — Kelly Naylor had 12 points and Kayla Bergman scored nine for New Bremen. Haylie Martin and Avery Sanders each scored eight for USV.
