Boys basketball roundup: Late 3-pointer gives Elida win against Coldwater

ELIDA — Drew Brockert beat the buzzer with a 3-pointer to give the host Bulldogs a 51-50 boys basketball overtime victory Saturday night against Coldwater.

Elida bounced back from a 21-6 first-quarter deficit to pull within 32-24 at halftime. After trailing 40-32 entering the fourth quarter, Elida outscored the Cavaliers 14-6 to force overtime.

Matt Fish had 20 points and Max Parker scored 10 for the Bulldogs. Marcus Bruns had 17 points and Cole Frilling scored 16 for the Cavaliers.

KENTON — Jaron Sharp had 47 points and Trent Lawrence and Jayden Cornell scored 15 and 12 respectively for the Wildcats.

RAWSON — Carson Houck had 24 points and Kyle Schultz scored 18 for C-R. Brody Bowman had 33 points for Temple Christian.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Logan Maxwell had 19 points, George Mangas and Tyson Elwer each scored 16 and Johnny Caprella and Sheridan O’Neal each finished with 14 points for the host Indians.
