BLUFFTON — The Bluffton University women’s basketball team defeated Franklin College in dominating fashion as they coasted to a 69-52 victory Saturday. The win pushed the Beavers to 3-6 on the season (2-2 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference). Franklin dropped to 2-6 on the year (1-3 in HCAC).
The Beavers opened up the second half on a 15-7 run after two free throws by TJ Mills with 3:37 in the quarter, making the score 47-32. Bluffton continued to extend its lead, pushing the margin to 55-37 at the end of three quarters.
The Beavers were led by Nora Hemminger with a career-high 18 points and four steals. Mills scored 17 and had five assists. Bluffton High School graduate Abbie Parkins chipped in with a career-high 11 points while also setting a career-high for 3-pointers, going 3-of-5 from long distance. Parkins also had eight rebounds which was another career high.
Findlay 80, Lake Erie 61
FINDLAY — Ottawa-Glandorf graduate Elissa Ellerbrock had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists, Lima Central Catholic alum Madison Stolly scored 12, Fort Jennings grad Bridget Landin had three rebounds and Marion Local grad Allie Thobe contributed three assists for Findlay.

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS — Jenna Dirksen led ONU (6-3 overall, 1-3 OAC) with nine points at the DeCarlo Center against the Blue Streaks (6-3, 3-1).
Tori Wyss (Ada) and Lexi Jacobs (Wapakoneta) added eight and seven points respectively for ONU.
UNOH 76, Cornerstone 70
LIMA — After 12 lead changes and 10 ties, the University of Northwestern Ohio (6-8, 2-5 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference) outscored Cornerstone (2-14, 1-7) 10-2 in the final 3:24.
Shatisha Dukes (19), Upper Scioto Valley grad Emily Patton (17), Leticia Johnson (13) and Fataya Larry (12) each scored in double digits. Larry also had 11 rebounds.
Bluffton 74, Franklin 52
BLUFFTON — The Beavers improved to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in the HCAC, while Franklin fell to 3-6 and 2-2 in the conference.
Bath graduate Andrew Renner led all scorers with 24 and delivered a team-high seven rebounds. Teammate Jameel Cosby netted a career high with 14 points amd dished out a team-high four assists.

ADA — Austin Allemeier (Elida) scored a career-high 18 points to lead Ohio Northern (3-6 overall and 0-4 in Ohio Athletic Conference) at the ONU Sports Center against the Blue Streaks (5-3, 2-2).
Ryan Bruns (Marion Local) added 17 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots, Daniel Donner scored 14 and grabbed eight rebounds and Daniel Unruh (Elida) added 10 points and a career-high eight rebounds also for the Polar Bears.
Cornerstone 71, UNOH 54
LIMA — The Racers fell to 4-10 overall and 1-6 in the WHAC while 10th-ranked Cornerstone improved to 12-4 (7-1 WHAC). Zach Montes had 17 points and Nathan Lessing scored 14 for UNOH.
FINDLAY — Coldwater finished eighth out of 15 teams with 244 points. Findlay (324) won the team title.
Coldwater’s Brian Chmielewsi won the 113-pound division. Josh Fink (160) was third, Nate Hoyng (126) and Kobe Boggs (132) each were fourth, Reece Thomas (170) was fifth and Nolan (22) finished sixth in their respective weight classes also for Coldwater.
