High school football: St. Marys drops out of first place in latest computer ratings

Statewide computer ratings

Despite going to 7-0 and remaining No. 1 in the the latest Associated Press Division IV media poll, St. Marys fell to second in its region in the latest OHSAA computer ratings.

The Roughriders fell behind 7-0 Clear Fork High School near Bellville in Region 14.

That left Coldwater (7-0), ranked No. 1 in Division VI in the AP poll, the only area team atop its region standings.

Other than St. Marys, 5-2 Van Wert (fourth) and 4-3 Kenton (sixth) also of the Western Buckeye League made the top eight in Region 14. The top eight in each region at the end of the season will qualify for the playoffs.

Wapakoneta (6-1) of the WBL is fourth in D-III, Region 12.

Following Coldwater, Marion Local (7-0) is second, Lima Central (7-0) is third, Spencerville (5-2) is fifth, St. Henry (5-2) is eighth and Perry (6-1) is ninth in Region 24.

Columbus Grove (4-3) is sixth in D-VI, Region 22.

Pandora-Gilboa (7-0) is third and Leipsic (6-1) is eighth in D-VII, Region 26. Crestview (6-1) and Minster (5-2) are second and third respectively, New Bremen (4-3) is seventh and Waynesfield-Goshen (4-3) is eighth in D-VII, Region 28.
