FOOTBALL

COLUMBUS — After downing top ranked McComb last Friday night, Pandora-Gilboa surged to No. 2 in the Associated Press Division VII High School football poll released Monday.

The Rockets (7-0) were ranked No. 8 before beating McComb who falls to No. 6. Minster comes in at No. 8 and Crestview returns to the top 10 at No. 10. Leipsic is ranked No. 13.

In Division VI, Lima Central Catholic (7-0) moved up one spot to No. 4. after a win Friday night. Coldwater maintains the top spot followed by Marion Local at No. 2. St. Henry comes in at No. 12.

St. Marys (7-0) maintained its No. 1 spot after staying undefeated with a big win over Bath.

Wapakoneta (6-1), who shutout Celina 35-0, re-appeared by in the state poll at No. 12, in Division III.

Lima Senior tickets

Tickets for Friday’s Lima Senior Homecoming football game against Findlay High School will be available in the Lima Senior Athletic Office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday.

Presale tickets are $5 for students/senior citizens and $7 for adults. All tickets at the gate are $7. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. The Homecoming Court program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Homecoming t-shirts cam be purchased for $15 in the athletic office. The purchase includes free admission to the game.

The theme for the game is a “Pink Out.”

Volleyball

Leipsic 3, Vanlue 0

VANLUE — Leipsic defeated Vanlue in straight sets, 25-17, 25-10 and 25-9. Leipsic’s Hayley Heitmeyer had 22 kills, three blocks and Selena Loredo had seven aces and 20 assists. Brooke Brown recorded 11 digs, four kills and two blocks. Carlee Siefker had five kills, 16-and three block. Lyndie Hazelton had four aces and eight assists and Kacey Dulle had 10 digs. Liz Scheckelhoff had four kills.

Allen East 3, USV 0

HARROD — Allen East won in straight sets, 25-19,25-13 and 25-17. Mustang Grace Howard had 13 kills and Anamya Truez, who had one block, added 11. Kristin Whitley recorded seven kills. Summer McCloskey notched 33 assists and Aley Briley recorded seven digs.
