The Lima/Allen County Golf Hall of Fame has made its selections for the 2018 class.
This year’s honorees are:
Two time Lima Junior Golf Association Player of the Year
Member of Elida High School golf
Four time All-WBL and and two time first team All District
Four-year starter at BGSU
Dr. Pepper Champion in 2001
Two time winner on Hooters Tour and PGA tournament qualifier
Hawthorne Hills Golf Club
Host course to the Lima City Men’s Match Play Championships
Host course to the Lima City Women’s Match Play Championships
Host course to Dr. Pepper Championships
Host course to Lima Junior Golf Association Tournaments
Host course to OHSAA Sectional and District Tournaments
Host course to the Midwest Golf Association Junior National Championships
Voted Best of the Region 20 consecutive years
Collegiate golfer for Clark Community College where he received a degree in Turf Grass Management
Golf Course Superintendent for more than 40 years of which the last 31 years were at Hawthorne Hills Golf Course.
Former Lima Central Catholic boys’ coach
Long time participant in the Lima City Women’s Match Play Championships
Shawnee Country Club Women’s Champion
This year’s festivities will be held at Shawnee Country Club on Saturday, Oct. 6. A social hour with cash bar will begin at 6 p.m. with dinner following at 7 p.m. Awards presentations will begin at approximately 8 p.m.
Dinner will be chicken Piccata, whipped potatoes, chef’s vegetables, house salad and desert. Dinner is $25.

For purposes of planning, those planning to attend the dinner should notify Reinicke at 419-999-1958 no later than Friday, Sept. 28. This will not guarantee a reservation, only a check will ensure that.
