Allen County Archers

The second annual Wapakoneta football alumni weekend will be held Aug. 30-31. On Aug. 30, the events will take place in the Wapakoneta high school cafeteria and will feature chalk talk with Wapakoneta head coach Travis Moyer and guest speaker Kevin Johnson (class of 1976). Individuals must RSVP by Aug. 24 and the cost is $30. On Aug. 31, all events will take place a Harmon Field where individuals will be recognized and given a sideline pass for pregame activities. The cost is $6.

NFL Flag Football will be held for youth ages 5-7. There’s one practice each week plus one game on Saturdays. Players received reversible NFL flag jerseys. Deadline to register is Aug. 26. The fifth annual Grand Lake Marathon will take place Saturday, Sept. 29. This fast, flat, Boston Marathon qualifying course begins and ends at Lake Shore Park in Celina along the shores of Grand Lake St Marys. There will also be a half marathon, the Grand Lake Marathon 5K, or you can even choose to do a relay with friends. Also new this year is the Senior Marathon.
