Roundup: Shawnee wins girls golf invitational

CELINA — Shawnee claimed the 15-team Celina Girls Invitational golf tournament Thursday at Celina Lynx Golf Club.

Morgan Altenbach (86), Jeanna Fullom (89), Taylor Burgess (97) and Maggie Gray (102) combined for the winning score 374 with St. Henry (381), Versailles (389), New Bremen (390) and Wapakoneta (396) rounding out the top five.

St. Henry’s Ellen Naumann shot an 80 to earn medalist honors on the par 72 layout.

Celina’s Kendra Marsee (103), Coldwater’s Grace Buschur (93), Delphos Jefferson’s Sydnie McGue (110), Fort Recovery’s Jalyn Bruns (99), Lincolnview’s Shiann Kraft (102), Marion Local’s Emily Nietfeld (111), New Bremen’s Amy Baltser (92), Parkway’s Haylee Stukey (100) and Wapakoneta: Taylor West (84) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

Medalist Carson Muhlenkamp (37), Nathan Kaiser (39), Collin Muhlenkamp (41) and Alex Wourms (45) combined for the winning score at Mercer County Elks.

Mason Baxter led Parkway with a 43

Paulding 176, Wayne Trace 178

Medalist Fletcher Cook (40), Kolson Engor (41), Cole Heller (46) and Noah Pessefall (49) combined for the winning score at Pleasant Valley Golf Course.

Ottawa-Glandorf 181, Elida 194

Medalist Zach Stechschulte (43), Austin Radcliff (45), Carter Schimmoeller (46) and Alex Ellerbrock (47) contributed to the winning team total.

Riley Creps and Hunter Jolliff each shot 47 to lead Elida.

St Henry 170, Marion Local 199

Medalist Reed Koesters (40), Rylee Deitsch (41), Jack Romer (43) and Lucas Grieshop and Andrew Mescher (46 each) were part of the winning effort at Mercer County Elks.

Tim Knapschaefer led Maron Local with a 43, Seth Kelch 48, Logan Fleck 53, Bryce Moeller 55

Kenton 195, Bath 224

Rocco Longbrake (46), Ethan Wirbel (48), Taj Chahal (50) and Peyton Roby (51) combined for the winning team score at Hidden Creek Golf Club.

Bath’s Britton Hall was medalist with a 45.

Olivia Kesner, Anna Janowski and Morgan Chaney were singles winners for Lima Central Catholic.


Elida tickets

The Elida Athletic Department will be selling football season tickets, parking passes and student all-sport passes in the athletic office from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday until school starts. Presale tickets will be available Fridays for each game in the athletic office from 11:00 a.m. until 1 p.m.. Presale tickets for home games will be available in the middle school also during lunch Fridays as well as First Federal Bank in Elida. Presale tickets cost $6 for adults and $4 for students. All tickets at the door will be $7.
