DELPHOS — Columbus Grove turned in a team total of 189 Wednesday in defeating Putnam County League opponents Ottoville (192) and Fort Jennings (217) at Delphos Country Club.
Ottoville’s Evan Turnwald was medalist with a 45. Zac Roberts (46), Kurt Griffith (47), Austin Macke (48) and Jacob Oglesbee (48) contributed to Grove’s winning score. Noah Wittler led Fort Jennings with a 51.

LIMA — Medalist Gavin Harmon (36), Ethan Harmon (41), Drake Mertz (44) and Alex Gallman (47) combined for Spencerville’s winning score at Tamarac Golf Course in a Northwest Conference matchup against Lincolnview (171), Paulding (178) and Ada (234).
Lincolnview’s Jaden Youtsey (38), Paulding’s Cole Heller (43) and Ada’s Brevin Sizemore (56) had the low rounds for their respective squads.

BRADFORD — Medalist Drew Zwiebel from Wapakoneta shot a 1-under 34 at Stillwater Valley as the Redskins finished with a team totla of 159 followed by Russia (182) and New Bremen (196)
Clay Wilsey (40), Tim Bruns (41) and Jon Hefner and Dylan Timmerman (44 each) also contributed to Wapak’s winning score. Cole Hemmelgarn led New Bremen with a 43.

GRANVILLE — Lima’s Matt McGraw finished tied for 32nd in the Ohio Senior Amateur with a two-day total of 160 on the par 71 Denison Golf Club out of 54 players. TJ Brudzinski of Columbus was first with at 140.

UNOH ranked
No. 3 in poll
The University of Northwestern Ohio is No. 3 in the NAIA preseason coaches poll.
The Racers finished 20-3-1 overall last season and won their fourth straight WHAC regular-season title. UNOH then made its fifth consecutive appearance in the NAIA Tournament, advancing to the semifinals before falling to Spring Arbor .
UNOH opens it season at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Taylor. The home opener for the Racers will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, against No. 7 Vanguard.
Vanguard is the first of five teams in the preseason poll that UNOH will play during the regular season. The Racers host No. 1 Spring Arbor on Aug. 29, No. 12 Keiser on Sept. 1 and No. 22 Lindsey Wilson on Sept. 8 while visiting No. 11 Marian on Sept. 16.
The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences, Association of Independent Institutions and Unaffiliated Groups. The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams.
