FLAT ROCK, Mich. — The Lima Locos scored twice in each of the first four innings on their way to a 9-4 Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League victory Friday night against host Lake Erie.
Lima also scored a run in the sixth. Michael Diffley (Arizona Christian) had three hits, including a home run and a triple, and three RBI, Tyler Simon (Kennesaw State) had three hits, including a triple, and two RBI, Brad Croy (Bowling Green/Ottawa-Glandorf) had two hits, including a double, Malik Spratling had two hits and Jaxon Shirley doubled for the Locos (22-11).
Tanner Hall (Mercer) got the victory, allowing three runs, four hits and three walks while striking out 10. Brison Finney (Kennesaw State) got the save, going two innings and allowing three hits, a run and no walks while striking out two.
Lima is scheduled to play a home doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m. today against Irish Hills at Simmons Field.
