BOWLING GREEN — Ada singles player Zachary Beaschler and the Shawnee doubles team of Michael Rutter and Isaac Hanover earned spots at state in boys tennis Wednesday by reaching the semifinals of the Division II district at Bowling Green State University.
Beaschler defeated Daniel Stevens of Clyde 6-0, 6-0 and then Lima Central Catholic’s Ben Brinkman 6-1, 6-0. Rutter and Hanover defeated Oliver Claus and Jake Swope of Huron 6-0, 6-0 followed by a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 quarterfinal victory against Rahul Bais and James Schwann of Ottawa Hills. D-II play is scheduled to resume Saturday.
Parkway 13, Fort Recovery 0
WAPAKONETA — Parkway’s Haley Hawk reached 208 career RBI to break the OHSAA record. She also recorded the win on the mound, allowing one hit and a walk while striking out five in five innings. Macy Henkle had three hits, including two triples, and Alyssa Miller and McKenna Temple each had two hits also for the Panthers. Bailee Tebbe had Fort Recovery’s hit.
Parkway will play Minster in a Division IV district final at 5 p.m. Friday at Wapakoneta.
Minster 4, New Bremen 3
WAPAKONETA — Danielle Barhorst had a double and a triple and Taylor Homan had a pair of hits for Minster. Molly Smith had two hits and Taylor Paul homered for New Bremen.

BATH TOWNSHIP — Fairview will play Patrick Henry in a Division III district final at 5 p.m. Friday at Bath.
Spencerville’s Mara May (player of the year) and Jeff Johnston (Spencerville) earned top honors in the Northwest Confernce.
Joining May on the first team were Averey Rumer (Bluffton), Madisyn Gossard (Ada), Julie Mulholland (Spencerville), Haylee Dominique (Paulding), Sydney Newland (Ada), Teyah Sautter (Columbus Grove), Audrey Manz (Paulding), Lexi Gregory (Crestview), Libby Schaadt (Bluffton) and Riley Newland (Allen East).

FORT JENNINGS — Winning pitcher Brandon Wehri allowed no earned runs, three hits and a walk while striking out eight in seven innings. He also had three doubles and two RBI. Aaron Sealt had a hit and two RBI and Kyle Norbeck had a double and an RBI also for the host Musketeers. Brady Hauenstein, Dylan Mason and Dane Schroeder each had a hit for Grove.
Minster 5, St. Henry 1
COLDWATER — The Wildcats will play the winner of Wednesday night’s second game between Lincolnview and Crestview in a Division IV district final at 7 p.m. Friday at Coldwater.
Lincolnview’s Chayten Overholt (player of the year) and Delphos Jefferson’s Doug Geary received top honors in the Northwest Conference

Division I district
FINDLAY — Lima Senior’s Brianna Wright won the shot put (35 feet, 5 1/4 inches) and Celina’s Tyler Ross was first in the discus (149-02).
Lima Senior’s Suerethia Henderson set a stadium records in qualifying first in the 100 (12.04) and 200 (24.55) meter dashes. Henderson Deji’ona Shurelds Simpson, Corion McDonald-Gordon and Elyse Kelley set a stadium mark in having the fastest qualifying time in the 800 relay (1:42.87).
Lima Senior is fourth in the girls team standings with 12 points behind leader Fremont Ross (28). Celina trails first-place Norwalk by two points in the boys competition. The district is scheduled to resume Friday.
Division II district
DEFIANCE — The Van Wert girls lead the team standings with 16.5 points after three events. Toledo Central Catholic (15), Napoleon (12), Ottawa-Glandorf (11) and Kenton and Defiance (10 each) also reached double digit points.
Kenton’s Lauren Johnson won the discus with a sectional record mark of 133 feet, 9 inches.
Wauseon lead the boys standings after four events with 25 points with Van Wert (19), Toledo Central Catholic (17) and Coldwater (16) rounding out the top four. The district is scheduled to resume Friday. Van Wert’s Austin Clay won the shot put (54-00.5).
Tops in NWC
Spencerville’s Nelayla Burden (female athlete of the year), Lincolnview’s Brad Korte (male athlete of the year) and Columbus Grove’s Tim Staley (top 2018 girls team coach) and Chris Grothaus (top 2018 boys team coach) received recognition in the Northwest Conference.
UNOH 10, Point Park 1
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — The Racers advanced to the NAIA World Series. Winning pitcher Cole Baker allowed no runs, six hits and three walks while striking out three in 5 1/3 innings.
Kyle Fisher had two hits, including a home run, Jack Barrie had a home run and four RBI and Blake Maines had two hits and an RBI for UNOH.
Williams Woods 5, UNOH 3
MOBILE, Ala. — Singles players Alisa Reshetnikova and Valeriya Kolegova won in singles and as a doubles team for UNOH at the NAIA Championship.
SILVIS, Ill. — UNOH is in 11th place with a two-round total of 586 at the par 71 TPC at Deere Run. Lewis Scott is the top individual player for the Racers with a two-day total of 1-over 143. Competition is scheduled to resume today.
