ST. MARYS — Winning pitcher Henry Spencer allowed no earned runs, three hits and walk while striking out nine in seven innings as St. Marys defeated Bath 2-1 in a Western Buckeye League baseball game Saturday.

Drew Jacobs had two hits Braeden Dunlap tripled and had an RBI and Austin Wilker had a hit and an RBI for the host Roughriders. Bath’s Hunter Iiames allowed one earned run, six hits and three walks while striking out six in six innings.

Wapakoneta 8, Celina 2

WAPAKONETA — Don Goodes had a double, a triple, two singles and four RBI for the host Redskins.

Allen East 9, Riverdale 3

HARROD — Dalton Clum had three hits, Tyler Clum had two htis and two RBI and Christian Hedrick had tow hits and an RBI for Allen East.

Shawnee 9, Kenton 1

KENTON — Winning pitcher Caden Vermillion allowed no earned runs, three hits and five walks in five innings. Logan Maxwell had two doubles and three RBI, Tyler Moore had two hits and three RBI and Kale Ebling had two hits for the visiting Indians.

Van Wert 4, Elida 0

ELIDA — Winning pitcher Lawson Blackmore allowed four hits and no walks while striking out 11 in seven innings. He also had a home run. Jake Lautzenheiser had two hits and an RBI and Holden Willingham had a hit and an RBI also for the visiting Cougars. Max Parker, Luke Burger, TJ Whipple and Josh Howard each had a hit for Elida.

OTTOVILLE — Luke Falke had a double and a single, winning pitcher Brady Nolan had a double and an RBI and Tre Jones had a hit and an RBI for the visiting Bearcats. Zane Martin had two hits for Ottoville.

GLANDORF — Mike Bowers had two hits and two RBI, BJ Fortman had two hits and an RBI, Nathan Arrington had two hits and Owen Hiegle had a hit and an RBI for O-G.

EATON — Winning pitcher Parker Link allowed two hits and two walks while striking out two in six innings. Ryan Luttmer and Jay Knapke each had two hits for St. Henry.

BLUFFTON — Winning pitcher Libby Schaadt (9-4) allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out six in four innings. She also had four hits, including a double, and six RBI. WAYNESFIELD – Weekend number two of racing kicks off tonight. The famed 1/3rd mile hosts the 2018 Spring Fling featuring appearances by the Quest Federal Credit Union Non Wing Sprints, Performance Powder Coating AMSA Mini Sprints, Block Insurance Tough Truck, and the Indian Lake Outfitter Compacts.

Due to cooler temperatures in the forecast, all times will be moved up one hour again this week. Pit side gates will open at 3 p.m. and grandstands at 4 p.m. Hot laps will get underway at 5 p.m. with the first green flag following at 6 p.m.

Adult general admission is $12. Kids ages 11-15 are admitted for $6 with everyone under the age of 10 admitted for free. Pit access is available to anyone for $25.
