Roundup: Ottawa-Glandorf gets baseball sweep against Paulding

GLANDORF — Ottawa-Glandorf earned a 6-0 and 4-2 high school baseball sweep Saturday against Paulding

Evan Balash got the win in the 6-0 enounter. Brandon Fortman had two hits and two RBI and Chase Schrieber homered. Cade McGarvey had two hits for Paulding.

Jaxon Buddlemeyer got the win in the 4-2 contest. Grant Fuerst and Austin Horstman each doubled for O-G. Kauser had two singles and a double and Cole Heller had a pair of hits for Paulding.

Elida 4, Kalida 2

ELIDA — Winning pitcher Brayden Lybarger went seven innings, allowing one earned run, three hits and a walk while striking out eight.

Luke Burger had a single, double and two RBI, Noah Adcock had two hits and Jordan Davis had a hit and RBI for Elida. Matt Kehres and Zach Von Der Embse each doubled for Kalida.

Parkway 13,

Delphos Jefferson 0

DELPHOS — Winning pitcher Clayton Agler went five innings, allowing five hits while striking out seven. Parkway’s Noah Riley and Jefferson’s Tyler Shrider each doubled.

Van Buren 4, Miller City 2

VAN BUREN — Jeremy DeMuth and Jacob Koenig had two hits each and Cole Niese doubled for Miller City.

Russia sweeps

RUSSIA — The hosts defeated New Bremen 7-2 and 5-0.

In the 7-2 game, Mitchell Hays had New Bremen’s lone hit. In the 5-0 contest, Ryan Bertke had two hits for New Bremen.

Bath falls

BATH TOWNSHIP — The host Wildcats fell 3-2 twice to Lexington.

In the opener, Chad Frey had two hits and Isaiah Bolon had an RBI for Bath. In Game 2, Bolon had a pair of RBI and teammate Hunter Iiames doubled.

Allen East sweeps

ARLINGTON — The visiting Mustangs won 6-2 and 11-8.

In the 6-2 victory, winning pitcher Dalton Clum went six innings with six strikeouts. Ryan Snider had three hits and three RBI and Devin Reed had two stolen bases also for Allen East.

In the 11-8 triumph, Tyler Clum had three hits, two RBI and two stolen bases and Reid Spencer had two hits and four stolen bases for the Mustangs, Snider and Reed also each had two hits.

Fort Recovery 8, Crestview 1

CONVOY — Ben Homan had two hits and Cade Wendell and Eric Schaan each had two stolen bases for Fort Recovery.


Bowling Green 17,

Elida 6

ELIDA — Addie Miller had a single, a double and three RBI, Kori Bake had a single and a double Janay Sherard had a pair of RBI for the host Bulldogs.

Wayne Trace 13, LCC 1

HAVILAND — Kennedy Parker had a single and RBI for Lima Central Catholic. The second game of the doubleheader was canceled due to inclement weather.

Parkway 11,

Wapakoneta 10

ROCKFORD — The host Panthers scored twice in the bottom of the eighth to earn the victory.

Haley Hawk had a single, double, home run and two RBI, Bailey Strickler had two hits and two RBI, Alyssa Miller had a single, double and two RBI and Lauren Henderson had a single, double and two RBI for Parkway. Grace Jolly had five hits, including a double and homer, and four RBI for the Redskins.

Crestview 6, New Bremen 2

NEW BREMEN — Crestview’s Lexi Gregory and New Bremen’s Hannah Kramer each doubled.

Bath drops two

BATH TOWHSHIP — The host Wildkittens fell 17-5 and 16-5 to Springfield Shawnee.

In the 17-5 contest, Kali Armstrong had three hits, including a double, Annika Hemminger had two hits and Tori Dackin doubled for Bath. In the second game, Dackin had two hits, including a double. Riley Iiames had two hits and Tara Cooper doubled also for the Wildkittens.

Arlington sweeps

ARLINGTON — The hosts defeated Allen East 11-9 and 7-6.

In the 11-9 encounter, Chloe Lawrence and Alex Briley each tripled twice, Lakin Bashman homered and Riley Newland doubled for Allen East. In the 7-6 game, Lawrence homered and tripled and teammate Summer McCloskey tripled.
