ELIDA — Several area players logged their final minutes as high school basketball players during Tuesday night’s District 8 Division I-II-III and D-IV boys games at the Elida Fieldhouse.

The East defeated the West 114-94 in the Division I-II-III enounter. Findlay’s Jacob Logsdan (22), Bath’s Chad Frey (20), Elida’s Daniel Unruh (18), Liberty-Benton’s Will Poling (14) and Elida’s Isaac McAdams (13) each scored in double digits for the victors. Van Wert’s Jacoby Kelly (16), Ottawa-Glandorf’s Jay Kaufman (14) and Bryce Schroeder (13), Bath’s Harrison Gough (11) and Coldwater’s Derek Albers (10) scored 10 or more for the West.

The West defeated the East 94-86 in the D-IV game. Fort Jennings’ Cole Horstman (15), New Knoxville’s Nathan Tinnerman (15), Crestview’s Derek Stout (14), Ottoville’s Logan Kemper (10) and Miller City’s Mark Kuhlman (10) were double-digit scorers for the winners. Perry’s Logan Dray (17), Pandora-Gilboa’s Drew Johnson (14) and Eli Phillips (14) and Cory-Rawson’s Eric Ritter (12) each reached double digits for the East.

Games postponed

BLUFFTON — The Bluffton University softball doubleheader with Calvin College scheduled for Tuesday was been postponed and will be played Monday, April 9, with game one slated for 3:30 p.m. at Bluffton Field

The Bluffton baseball game with Capital scheduled for Tuesday was canceled with no makeup date likely.
