Girls high school basketball: Ottoville’s Kleman gets 500th victory

OTTOVILLE — Big Green girls high school basketball coach Dave Kleman got his 500th career victory Saturday night as Ottoville defeated Delphos St. John’s 60-22.

Kleman is now 500-121 in his career. Bridget Landin had 19 points and Abi Hilvers scored nine for the Big Green (20-1). Paige Gaynier led DSJ (9-12) with five points.

Kalida 41, Leipsic 29

KALIDA — The host Wildcats moved ahead of Leipsic in the Putnam County League standings.

Taylor Lucke had 11 points and Sarah Klausing scored 10 for Kalida (14-7, 5-1 PCL). Heather Lammers scored nine for the Vikings (18-3, 5-2 PCL).

Botkins 45, Allen East 42 (OT)

BOTKINS — Sarah Bergman, who scored 17, reached 1,000 points for her Botkins varsity career. Paige Lane had 14 points also for the hosts. Lauren Criblez had 18 points and Tori Newland scored 10 for Allen East, which forced the game into overtime by outscoring the hosts 13-10 in the fourth quarter.

Columbus Grove 50, Arlington 32

ARLINGTON — Carlee McCluer had 17 points and Rylee Sybert and Teyah Sautter each scored eight for the visiting Bulldogs (12-8).

Versailles 60,

Jackson Center 22

VERSAILLES — Olivia Clark had 11 points for Jackson Center.

Minster 67, St. Marys 40

MINSTER — Courtney Prenger had 22 points and Taylor Kogge and Demaris Wolf each scored nine for the host Wildcats (17-3). Syd Cisco had 18 points and Makenna Mele scored 10 for the Roughriders (9-12).

Spencerville 56, Perry 22

SPENCERVILLE — Nelaya Burden had 14 points and Kaiden Grigsby scored 13 for the host Bearcats (14-7). Tia Barfield had 10 points for Perry (1-20).
