Roundup: Ottawa-Glandorf improves to 5-0 in girls hoops

OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf moved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the Western Buckeye League with a 71-35 Thursday night girls high school basketball victory against St. Marys.

Ashley Schroeder had 15 points, Kadie Hempfling scored 14 and Bri Schimmoeller contributed nine points for the host Titans. Makenna Mele had nine points and Ally Will and Syd Cisco scored seven each for the Roughriders (3-4, 0-2 WBL).

Columbus Grove 47, Paulding 30

COLUMBUS GROVE — Lauren Schroeder had 19 points and Teyah Sautter scored 11 for Grove. Audrey Manz had 12 points for Paulding.

Spencerville 47, Lincolnview 33

SPENCERVILLE — Emma Leis had 22 points for the host Bearcats (5-1, 2-0 Northwest Conference).

Wapakoneta 39, Van Wert 33

VAN WERT — Lexi Jacobs had 17 points and Makenzie Wilson scored 11 for Wapak. Reagan Priest had 13 points and Abby Jackson scored eight for the host Cougars.

Waynesfield-Goshen 55, Perry 22

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Cassidy Craig had 17 points and Aubrey Biederman scored 14 for W-G. Zierre Thompson and Lily Floyd each had seven points for Perry.

Minster 61, Coldwater 41

COLDWATER — Maura Hoying had 12 points and Grace Bruns scored 10. Minster individual stats were not reported by deadline.

Upper Scioto Valley 50,

Hardin Northern 30

DOLA — USV grew its advantage from 9-8 at the end of the first quarter to 25-16 by halftime. Kaycee Carroll had 27 points and Avery Sanders scored 11 for USV, which had 10 turnovers compared to Hardin Northern’s 17.

Maddie Grappy had 13 points and Franki Bejarano scored six for Hardin Northern, which won the rebound battle 27-25.

Ridgemont 42, Riverside 27

MT. VICTORY — Ridgemont built a 27-11 margin at the end of the first half. Shaylee McGrath had 12 points and Meadow Cromer scored eight for Ridgemont.

Liberty-Benton 70, Pandora-Gilboa 13

PANDORA — Paige Fenstermaker had seven points and Kayla Ferguson scored six for P-G.

COLUMBUS GROVE —Caleb Langhals (113 pounds), Dylan Pitts (152), Ezra Jones (170), Enoch Jones (182) Dakota Sargent (195), Dylan Sargent (220) and Jeff Meyer (285) all recorded pins for the host Bulldogs.

tourney Saturday

SPENCERVILLE — The 14th Allen County Tournament will be held Saturday at Spencerville High School.

There are 114 wrestlers entered from Allen East, Bath, Bluffton, Delphos Jefferson, Delphos St. John, Elida, Lima Central Catholic, Lima Senior, Shawnee and Spencerville.

The pool format is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with the top compeitors in each pool paired for the finals, scheduled to begin at about 3 p.m.
