Roundup: Bath, Shawnee win in WBL girls basketball

KENTON — Lindsay Singhaus had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Jaidyn Hale finished with 11 points, five rebounds and five assists as Bath defeated Kenton 49-44 in a Western Buckeye League girls basketball encounter.

Kori Barrett (15), Ellie Miller (14) and Lavne Taylor (12) each scored in double digits for Kenton. Taylor also had 10 rebounds.

Shawnee 60, Celina 46

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Alissa Stahler had 24 and Grace O’Connor scored 10 for the host Indians. Maddy Luebke had 21 points and Makenna Klingshirn scored 10 for Celina.

Bluffton 61, Ada 26

ADA — Alivia Koenig had 17 points for Bluffton (4-1) and Maddie Gossard scored 10 for Ada (1-2) in the Northwest Conference opener for both teams.

Spencerville 56, Paulding 38

PAULDING — Nelaya Burden had 19 points and Jenna Henline scored 14 for the visiting Bearcats (3-0, 1-0 NWC).

Crestview 48, Columbus Grove 40

CONVOY — Crestview’s Paige Motycka (22) and Ally McCoy (12) and Columbus Grove’s Abigail Gladwell (12), Carlee McCluer (10) and Lauren Schroeder (10) all scored in double digits in a NWC matchup.

Notre Dame 53, Lima Senior 16

TOLEDO — Taja Oglesbee had seven points and Ryann Miller scored six for Lima Senior (1-3, 0-2 Three Rivers Athletic Conference).

Leipsic 62, McComb 32

LEIPSIC — Heather Lammers had 20 points and Claire Rigel scored 14 for the host Vikings.

Kalida 37, Antwerp 28

ANTWERP — Taylor Lucke had seven points and Kierstan Siebeneck and Sarah Klausing scored six each for the visiting Wildcats.

Celina 42, Shawnee 34

CELINA — Nathan Wilson (113 pounds), Sam Warner (126), Nick Garwood (152), Tim Ferrell (195) and Cory Fortkamp (220) each had a pin for the host Bulldogs. Mason Adlesh (106), Cory Beach (120), Trent Fairburn (145), Cain Bentz (160) and Bobby Grothjan (285) each recorded a pin for Shawnee.

Bath 36, Kenton 34

BATH TOWNSHIP — Ethan Kohlhorst (120 pounds), Collin Mell (145), Garrett Garver (152) and Elijah Rister all won by pin for Bath.

Ottawa-Glandorf 48, Elida 17

O-G’s Evan Ellerbrock (138 pounds), Jasper Scarberry (152) and Elida’s Ethan Grimm (113), Bailey Gibson (132) all recorded pins.
