Roundup: Temple Christian edges Continental in boys basketball

LIMA — Brody Bowman had 25 points and Noah Howell scored 20 as Temple Christian (1-1) defeated Continental (0-2) 59-55 in boys basketball Saturday night. The Pioneers’ Ethan DeLeon contributed 14 rebounds.

Caleb Olds had 23 points and Nick States scored 13 for Continental.

Delphos Jefferson 64,

Fairview 44

DELPHOS — Alex Rode had 21 points and Davion Tyson scored 13 for the host Wildcats.

Mansfied Temple Christian 53,

Hardin Northern 46

BASCOM — Logan Lease had 12 points and Cody Wilmoth scored eight for Hardin Northern in the Hopewell-Louden tournament.

Kenton 74, Waynesfield-Goshen 36

WAYNESFIELD — Landon Rush had 23 points and Jaron Sharp (17) and Jayden Cornell (10) also scored in double digits for Kenton. Brock Waitman had 14 points and Tanner Hurley scored 10 for W-G.


Cory-Rawson Duals

RAWSON — Columbus Grove and Cory-Rawson each went 4-1 in matches.

Lima Senior’s Naeem Russell was named the most valuable wrestling after winning all five his matches with pins at 160 pounds.

Ada’s Colton Biederman (106 pounds) and Chase Sumner (145), Columbus Grove’s Dakota Sargeant (195), Dylan Sargeant (220) and Jeff Meyer (285) and Cory-Rawson’s Daniel White (126), Isaiah Colvin (138), Deontae Davis (170) and Blaine Peterson (182) all went 5-0 on the day.
