SPENCERVILLE — The host Bearcats had to rally twice for a 21-17 Northwest Conference victory Friday night against Ada.

Spencerville (3-2, 2-0 NWC) bounced back from a 10-0 first-quarter deficit for a 13-10 halftime advantage. After Ada (3-2, 1-1 NWC) scored on a Seth Conley 1-yard run in the third quarter for a 17-13 advantage, Spencerville then got the lead back on a 20-yard Chris Picker run. The Bearcats then added a safety for the final score.

Ada’s first point came on an Aaron Everhart 22-yard field goal. Conley, who completed 18 of 39 pass attempts for 225 yards, then connected with Chase Sumner, who had six receptions for 102 yards, on a 53-yard TD pass. Spencerville then got on the board on a Cannan Johnson 8-yard run and a Chris Picker 1-yard score. Picker finished with 194 yards rushing on 35 attempts.

Delphos Jefferson 41, Allen East 32

DELPHOS — Brenen Auer rushed 25 times for 212 yards and three touchdowns for the host Wildcats (3-2, 2-2 NWC) at Stadium Park. Teammate Darius Shurelds ran 24 times for 112 yards and three TDs.

Kyle Nickles, Jacob Treglia, Dustin Rowe and Bryce Belcher each had a touchdown run for Allen East (1-4, 0-2 NWC). The Mustangs’ Tyler Clum connected with Lucas Freeman on a TD pass and teammate Bradden Crumrine had two receptions for 94 yards.

Shawnee 35, Van Wert 27

SHAWNEE — Johnny Caprella rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns and completed 14 of 23 pass attempts for 156 yards and two touchdowns for Shawnee (3-2, 2-2 Western Buckeye League). Caprella’s TD throws went to Christian Ford, who had seven receptions for 72 yards, and Grant Wheeler. Jayvion Daniels had a TD run also for Shawnee.

Nate Place completed 19 of 26 pass attempts for 261 yards and two touchdowns for Van Wert (3-2, 2-2 WBL). Jacob Kelly, who had eight receptions for 145 yards, and Tanner Barnhart, who had seven catches for 86 yards, each had a TD reception for the visiting Cougars. Place finished with 60 yards rushing on 13 attempts and teammate James Acquavia had a pair of touchdown runs.

Anna 21, Delphos St. John’s 13

ANNA — Jared Wurst had a pair of touchdown runs for St. John’s (3-2, 1-2 Midwest Athletic Conference). Anna improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the MAC.

Bluffton 42, Paulding 14

BLUFFTON — Kaleb Jefferson rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries for the host Pirates (2-3, 1-1 NWC). Teammate Dakota Bricker completed a 33-yard TD pass to Brice Rayle. Bricker, who had nine carries for 77 yards, also had a TD run. Deandre Nassar and Gavin Conrad each had TD runs also for Bluffton.

Fernando Garcia and Payton Beckman each had a TD run for Paulding (1-4, 0-2 NWC).

Crestview 36, Columbus Grove 13

COLUMBUS GROVE — Drew Kline had two touchdown runs and a pair of TD passes to Wade Sheets for Crestview (5-0, 2-0 NWC). Charles Stefanek returned a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown also for the Knights.

Blake Reynolds threw TD passes to Caleb Barrientes and Trevor Taylor for Grove (1-4, 1-1 NWC).

St. Marys 30, Kenton 13

KENTON — Shannon Fowler ran 21 times for 133 yards and a touchdown, Tyler Schlosser ran 15 times for 92 yards and a TD, Braden Dunlap connected with Ty Howell on a 23-yard TD throw and Gabe Vandever made three field goals for St. Marys (4-1, 4-0 WBL).

Jaron Sharp, who completed 20 of 41 pass attempts for 172 yards, threw TD passes to Landon Rush and Hunter Moore for Kenton (1-4, 1-3 WBL).

Celina 14, Ottawa-Glandorf 7

CELINA — Kyle Zizleman, who had 124 yards on 13 carries, had a 95-yard TD run and Kole Murlin scored from 11-yards out for Celina (3-2, 3-1 WBL). Teammate Brett Schwieterman had 91 yards on 22 carries.

Daniel Beemer had a 2-yard touchdown run for O-G (2-4, 1-3 WBL).

DEFIANCE — Shawnee won the team title with a score of 386 at the par 71 Eagle Rock followed by Wapakoneta (435), Celina (474) and Defiance (533).

Medalist Morgan Altenbach (89), Megan Spainhower (96), Jeanna Fullom (100) and Raegan Wheeler (101) combined for the winning score and had the low four rounds as well. Shawnee’s Taylor Burgess (102) finished fifth individually followed by Wapak’s Taylor West (103) and Shawnee’s Maggie Gray (104). Madelynn Sudhoff led Celina with a 115.
