Roundup: LCC second in 13-team girls golf tourney

TOLEDO — Lima Central Catholic finished second out of 13 teams in Thursday’s Northwest Ohio Girls Golf Championship.

Notre Dame was the team winner with a score of 332 while LCC finished at 342 at the par 71 Detwiler American Golf Club.

Erin Mulcahy (80), Mary Kelly Mulcahy (82), Meghan Mulcahy (83) and Callie Koenig (97) combined for the Thunderbirds’ score. All of Mulcahys earned second team all-tournament honors.

NWC quad match

DEFIANCE — Spencerville had the low team score of 160 in a Northwest Conference quad match against Paulding (177), Crestview (205) and Ada (225) at Auglaize Golf Club.

Medalist Gavin Harmon (36), Ethan Harmon (37), Drake Mertz (42) and Alex Gallman (45) and Collin Davis (45) combined for the winning score. Paulding’s Cade McGarvey (43), Crestview’s Colton Lautzenheiser (47) and Ada’s Alex Morgan (47) had the low rounds for their respective schools. Spencerville is now 27-1 overall and 15-1 in the NWC while Paulding fell to 13-3 in the conference and 17-6 on the season. Crestview is 11-14 (6-8 NWC) and Ada is 1-26 (0-16 NWC).

St. Henry 164, New Bremen 183

Medalist Kyle Naumann (39), Rylee Deitsch (41), Reed Koesters (41) and Ryan Grieshop (43) combined for the winning score at the par 36 Mercer County Elks. Ezra Ferguson led New Bremen with a 40.

Fort Recovery 205

Ray Newton led New Knoxville with a 44. Jack Bartholomew (47) and Nathan Tinnerman (49) also contributed to the Rangers’ winning effort.

Kalida 167, Arlington 191

OTTAWA — Medalist Christian Nartker (37), Josh Klausing (39), Josh Recker (45), and Luke Erhart (46) contributed to the winning score at the par 36 Country Acres Golf Club.

Parkway 171, Minster 174

CELINA — Medalist Clayton Agler (39), Mason Baxter (40), Ashton Hamrick (45) and Jack Wehe (47) combined for the winning total at Celina Lynx Golf Club. Adam Knapke led Minster with a 46.

Bath 162, Wapakoneta 165

LIMA — Medalist Isaiah Bolon (35), Joey Miller (41), Hunter Iiames (43), Jeremiah Bolon (43) combined for the winning score at the par 36 Hidden Creek Golf Club. Logan Miller led Wapak with a 38.

WAPAKONETA — Singles players Makayla Schroeder, Lauren Snider and Ellie Schroer and the doubles teams of

Alyssa Good and Madison Snider and Casey Minnig and Brooke Mullen all won matches.

Shawnee 5, Elida 0

ELIDA — Singles players Alotus Wei, Aria Patel, Michaela Rutter and the doubles teams of Sanjana Rajasekaran and Katie Clark and Ella Atkinson and Lade Onamusi all won matches.

St. Marys 3, Celina 2

ST. MARYS — Singles players Clare Caywood, Jillian Wine and Elizabeth Sutton for the hosts won their matches as did the Celina doubles teams of Allie Lehman and Christine Harting and Lexi Noll and Skye Grube.


Crestview 3, Bluffton 0

BLUFFTON — The Knights won 25-7, 25-6, 25-10. Katie Prater had six blocks and seven digs and Aimee Ritter had 11 assists for Bluffton.

Continental 3, Pandora-Gilboa 0

PANDORA — The Pirates won 25-22, 25-18, 25-19. Amber Logan had 18 kills, Jessica Stauffer had 32 assists and Hannah Troyer had 24 digs for Continental. Paige Fenstermaker had four blocks and 16 kills, Kayla Ferguson had six kills and 13 digs and Addliyn Diller had 27 assists for P-G.

New Knoxville 3,

NEW KNOXVILLE — The Rangers won 25-18, 25-14, 25-17. Madi Ellis had 12 kills and four blocks, Erika Moenter had 14 assists and Kennedy Clarkson and Ellie Csukker each had 17 digs for DSJ. No New Knoxville stats were reported by deadline.

Defiance 3, Elida 0

DEFIANCE — The visitors fell 25-20, 25-19, 25-12. Amiah Jones had six kills, Cheyenne Welch had three blocks and Evelyn Frueh had nine assists for Elida.

Ottawa-Glandorf 3,

Van Wert 0

OTTAWA — The Titans won 25-14, 25-11, 25-18. Erica Annesser and Taylor Alt each had 11 kills, Kendra Kahle had 25 assists and three aces, Brooke Kleman had 21 digs and Sydney Heitmeyer had four blocks for O-G. Van Wert stats had not been reported by deadline.

Elgin 3, Temple Christian 0

Aryn Recker had six digs and two aces, Sophie White had 11 digs and two aces and Heather Goliver had seven kills and five digs for Temple Christian, which fell 25-17, 25-18, 25-9.

VAN WERT — Clayton Leeth scored the Lancers’ goal.

LIMA — Cameron Worsham had four goals and Seth Ward had one. Ward also had a pair of assists. Ethan Kramer make four saves to secure his fifth shutout of the season.

MILLER CITY — Kasey Knippen had two goals and Elyse Baker and Nicole Williams each had one for Ottoville. Abby Niese and Kayleen Maas each had a tally for Miller City.

CONVOY — Madison Neidert had two goals and Elizabeth Howbert, Sydnie Siebeneck, Lexi Hoersten aand Mackenna Stechschulte each had one.
